The LGBTQ Association-Leon Chapter Association of LGBTQ Segundo Distrito community shines exceptionally bright, primarily due to the unwavering commitment of the Association of LGBTQIA+ Segundo Distrito, founded by our beloved Congresswomen Dr. Kathryn Gorriceta. This organization serves not just as a beacon of hope but as a powerful catalyst for change, dedicated to advancing the rights, welfare, and holistic development of LGBTQIA+ individuals. What truly sets this community apart is its unwavering dedication to inclusivity and empowerment, ensuring that every member is recognized, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive.
The Association operates on a robust framework, emphasizing four essential pillars: Health for All, Environmental Protection and Tourism Promotion, Arts, Culture and Sports, and Resource Enterprise and Economic Opportunities, Technical Skills, Education and Civic
Representation. Each of these pillars has been thoughtfully crafted to address the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals while promoting their rights and fostering a profound sense of belonging.
This visionary framework was proposed by our creative and innovative federation president, Mr. Jeib Bravo,RN, LPT, MEd whose creative insights have been instrumental in shaping our mission.

By developing programs that address HIV prevention and provide psychosocial support, the Association champions the health and well-being of LGBTQIA+ individuals, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.
🏳️🌈Environmental Protection and Tourism Promotion is another critical focus area. The Association recognizes the importance of sustainability and actively promotes tourism initiatives that not only highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region but also create economic opportunities for community members. This dual approach not only fosters pride but also enhances the overall well-being of the community.
🏳️🌈Arts, Culture, and Sports strengthens the community’s social fabric. By supporting pride events, cultural showcases, and talent development programs, the Association nurtures creative industries and youth development. This fosters a strong social identity, encouraging unity and pride among LGBTQIA+ individuals.
🏳️🌈Resource Enterprise and Economic Opportunities enhances livelihoods through support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), job creation, and skills-based entrepreneurship. By ensuring equitable resource utilization, the Association empowers individuals economically, allowing them to contribute actively to their communities.
