June has officially kicked off, which means we are celebrating the love, identity, and diversity of our community. Pride Month is all about being yourself, accepting who you really are, embracing freedom, and letting your flag fly.

We, the Peer Facilitator Circle believe everyone deserves a comforting, supportive, and safe space where everyone feels free to be themselves without judgement. Our advocacy has always been about lifting each other up, breaking down barriers, and making sure no one has to walk their journey alone. Love is love, and we are so proud to stand with the LGBTQ+ communityโ€”not only this month, but every single day.

Through proper support and evidence-based treatment, individuals living with PTSD can take meaningful steps toward recovery and improve their quality of life.

On April 29, 2026, the ๐™‹๐™š๐™š๐™ง ๐™๐™–๐™˜๐™ž๐™ก๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ง ๐˜พ๐™ž๐™ง๐™˜๐™ก๐™š (๐™‹๐™๐˜พ) successfully conducted an ๐™€๐™ข๐™ฅ๐™ค๐™ฌ๐™š๐™ง๐™š๐™™ ๐™ƒ๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง as part of ๐˜Š.๐˜ˆ.๐˜™.๐˜Œ. ๐˜‹๐˜ข๐˜บ 2026, featuring ๐˜”๐˜ด. ๐˜๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ป๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ ๐˜š๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ ๐˜ˆ. ๐˜Š๐˜ข๐˜ฃ๐˜ข๐˜บ๐˜ข๐˜ฐ as the guest speaker.

This initiative was organized in response to growing concerns about studentsโ€™ mental well-being, particularly the pressures of academic responsibilities and the increasing influence of digital technology and online life. It served as a reminder to both students and the wider community that taking time to pause, reflect, disconnect from the digital world, and reconnect with oneself is essentialโ€”an intentional and proactive step toward preventing challenges from escalating.

During the session, the speaker highlighted three practical ways to nurture well-being: setting realistic goals, establishing healthy boundaries and limitations, and exploring new hobbies.

In addition, the speaker shared a different perspective: missing out does not always mean losing something. When FOMO (๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ณ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜”๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜–๐˜ถ๐˜ต) takes over, you can embrace JOMO (๐˜‘๐˜ฐ๐˜บ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜”๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜–๐˜ถ๐˜ต) insteadโ€”finding peace and happiness in choosing what truly matters to you.

What does it really mean to belong? For the ๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜„๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ธ๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜€, it goes beyond simply being presentโ€”it is about feeling seen, heard, and valued.

Belonging is shaped not only by how others perceive us but also by how we learn to recognize our own worth within a community. It is something quietly built through connection, acceptance, and understanding.

In celebration of Stress Awareness Month, the Peer Facilitator Circle, in collaboration with the Psychological Society, held the C.A.R.E. Day โ€œCreating Awareness, Reaching Everyoneโ€ โ€“ at the PHINMA University of Iloilo Mini Park on April 29 and 30. This two-day event was filled with meaningful insights and joyful moments as students actively participated in the activities.

The event aimed to give students a chance to rest, pause, and unwind. The Mini Park was set up with various booths and activity stations: Stories of Hope, Wellness Booth, Hoholwap, Sketch and Art Corner, Perspective Station, Play-Pause Plaza, Peeriwinkles Shop, and the Empowered Hour โ€“ a session focused on understanding stress and learning healthy ways to cope with it.

C.A.R.E. Day was organized by the Peeriwinkles team. Throughout the planning process, our main goal was to create a safe, comfortable, and relaxing space for students. It served as a reminder that it is perfectly okay to take time to rest and relax, especially right after the exam season. Taking a pause does not mean being unproductive or lazy โ€“ it is something we all truly deserve.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this yearโ€™s theme, โ€œ๐˜ผ ๐˜ฟ๐™š๐™˜๐™–๐™™๐™š ๐™ค๐™› ๐™‘๐™ค๐™ž๐™˜๐™š๐™จ,โ€ honors the courage of mothers who have shared their stories and helped foster conversations on maternal mental health.

Together, let us continue raising awareness, reducing stigma, and improving access to care for perinatal mental health conditions, which affect 1 in 5 mothers worldwide. Through shared information and resources, families can find support for perinatal depression, anxiety, and related conditionsโ€”because no mother should face her struggles alone.
