📣ATTENTION! [ SOCCOM NEWS ]

It has come to our attention from the recent posts circulating over social media platforms that there is a solicitation letter from a certain group “Filipino Katoliko” duly signed by a certain Bishop Pedro Fenis Jr, the Head Bishop. They are asking for a "Voluntary Donation" to help in the procurement of construction materials for a church improvement project as well as for the Catholic Education purposes.

Be it known to all faithful that the Archdiocese of Jaro is, in any way, not involved in the activities of Filipino Katoliko. Taking this opportunity that our attention is directed to concerns like this, we do not tolerate fraudulent acts directly or indirectly using the name of the Archdiocese may it be in the form of letters, SMS and email that may cause confusion and impressions of accountability on the Catholic Church’s part springing from the fundraising campaigns done by other entities. All fund-raising activities of the Archdiocese and its parishes are being campaigned and announced in Holy Masses and legitimate platforms of communication. Otherwise, they belong to other entities not belonging to the catholic church albeit they may call themselves catholic.

To all our parishioners who were able to receive such solicitation letters posing as catholic church, kindly report to your nearest parish.

Anything that springs from generosity and pure intentions are being blessed and favored by God.

Let us be vigilant and examining on the origins and purposes of Church related programs and activities especially from those who are new to us and are not identified with our parish. Check and verify the information on the onset and do not hesitate to inquire from your parish priest on any event of dubious representations.
