Last night, the UAP HaMili ExeCom & Board of Directors gathered at Shakey’s Festive Walk Iloilo for a productive meeting centered on the chapter’s direction and plans for the coming months.

The discussion focused on our upcoming activities, future projects, chapter programs, and proposed Memoranda that will strengthen our initiatives and guide the organization toward more meaningful engagements for our members and the community.

More than just a meeting, it was an opportunity to align our goals, share ideas, address priorities, and build a stronger foundation for the chapter’s next steps.

With committed officers, collaborative leadership, and a shared vision for the profession, UAP HaMili continues to move forward—serving, building partnerships, and creating opportunities for architects to grow and contribute.

Face-to-Face Oathtaking of the New Architects

The face-to-face mass oathtaking of the new Architects will be held on 21 September 2026 (Monday), at Casa Real de Iloilo, Iloilo Provincial Capitol, Iloilo City.

All successful examinees interested in attending the face-to-face mass oathtaking shall register not later than 12:00 NN of the day prior to the date of the oathtaking at https://online.prc.gov.ph/ to confirm their attendance.

Inductees are required to PRINT the Oath Form with their own generated QR. This will be submitted during the oathtaking to be tagged as “attended”.

Those who cannot attend the scheduled face-to-face mass oathtaking may attend the online oathtaking or request a special oathtaking. Online Oathtaking announcements will be posted once the schedule is confirmed.

After the oathtaking, inductees shall proceed with their Initial Registration by securing an online appointment at https://online.prc.gov.ph.

🏛️ UAP HAMILI CHAPTER AT PHILBEX ILOILO 2026 🏗️

A proud moment for the United Architects of the Philippines – HAMILI Chapter as we actively participated in PHILBEX Iloilo 2026, held on July 9–12, 2026, as part of The World of Architecture.

Beyond showcasing the creativity and excellence of our members, this event allowed us to strengthen our presence in the architectural and building industry, connect with fellow professionals, and celebrate the collective work and identity of our chapter.

We are also honored to have our Chapter History, Accomplishments, Members, and Bayanihang Arkitektura / Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives featured—reflecting the dedication of HAMILI architects not only to the profession, but also to the communities we serve.

🏛️ UAP HAMILI CHAPTER EXHIBIT | ILOILO FESTIVE MALL ✨

A celebration of architecture, creativity, collaboration, and the people behind the profession.

The UAP HAMILI Chapter proudly presented an architectural exhibit at Iloilo Festive Mall, in collaboration with ISAT U UAPSA and UAPGA—bringing together the works, stories, achievements, and creative expressions of our architectural community.

This exhibit is more than a display of drawings and projects. It is a reflection of the passion, talent, history, and collective identity of our architects and future architects, and a reminder of how architecture continues to connect us with people and communities.

Our sincerest gratitude to everyone who worked behind the scenes and contributed their time, talent, and effort to make this exhibit a success. To our partners, volunteers, organizers, exhibitors, and collaborators—this achievement is yours as much as it is ours. 🤍

Special thanks as well to Iloilo Festivewalk Mall for providing the venue and space for us to share architecture with the public, and to our generous sponsors and supporters whose contributions helped make this event possible.

❤️ HAMiLi Express XXII — Salute to the Everyday Heroes

Even when the skies are dark, the roads are flooded, and a typhoon threatens our communities, there are people who cannot simply stop. They continue to wake up, brave the rain, and go to work—not because it is easy, but because their families depend on them.

For many breadwinners, workers, drivers, vendors, laborers, and everyday heroes, putting food on the table and providing for their loved ones means pushing forward despite the challenges.

During HAMiLi Express XXII, we witnessed these quiet acts of courage firsthand. The heavy rains and flooding did not stop them from working hard for their families. Their perseverance reminds us that heroism is not always found in grand gestures—it can be seen in the person who simply shows up, works hard, and keeps going for the people they love.

To every breadwinner and hardworking individual who continues to brave difficult days:

✏️ PAGDAYAW: Celebrating Art, Culture & Heritage Through Sketching

A celebration of creativity, culture, and the Ilonggo spirit through our On-the-Spot Sketching Competition held at the Iloilo Business Park!

Congratulations to everyone who participated in PAGDAYAW: Blooming Threads of Ilonggo Heritage, Culture and Arts at Iloilo Business Park. 🎨✨

Whether through Pen & Ink or Watercolor, each artwork captured a unique perspective of our surroundings and reflected the beauty, character, and stories of Iloilo.

More than just a competition, this activity aimed to encourage artists and architects to observe, interpret, and celebrate our local environment and heritage through art—bringing people closer to the places and culture that make Iloilo truly special.

To all the participants, thank you for sharing your talent, time, creativity, and passion. Your sketches became more than drawings—they became personal interpretations of the Ilonggo identity and the places we call home. 💙

🕊️ IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR CHAPTER PILLAR

The United Architects of the Philippines – HAMILI Iloilo Chapter deeply mourns the passing of Ar. Ramon L. Teruel, FUAP, EUAP, a founding member and steadfast Chapter Pillar whose invaluable contributions helped build the very foundation of our Chapter.

He was more than a member—he was one of the pillars upon which HAMILI was built. Through his leadership, wisdom, dedication, and unwavering support, he helped establish and strengthen the Chapter, guiding its growth and nurturing a sense of unity, service, and fellowship among its members.

His presence and contributions have shaped the identity of UAP HAMILI, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to live through the Chapter he helped build and the architects he inspired.

As we grieve his passing, we also celebrate a life of service, leadership, and commitment to the architectural profession. The Chapter stands with gratitude for all that he has given and for the lasting foundation he has left for generations of HAMILI architects to come.

Our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, friends, and colleagues.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
His name may be laid to rest, but his legacy will forever stand as one of the pillars of UAP HAMILI.
