CHILDInitiative was established in 2010. It is a child-focused, non-profit and disability-inclusive organization that aims to protect and empower children, youth and their communities in the most marginalized situations in Western Visayas, Philippines.
Vision: A committed organization that nurtures and develops children, mobilizes families and communities, to become healthy, productive, responsible and resilient members of the society.
Mission: CHILDInitiative commits to create a healthy, environment and child-friendly communities motivated with respect for life and the dignity of every human being; promote volunteerism and involvement among stakeholders; and ensure the capacities of parents are enhanced and sustained.
Objectives:
(1) To educate families on proper health and caring practices to establish health caring and development conscious communities;
(2) To hasten awareness and intensify advocacy on childrenโs rights;
(3) To capacitate and strengthen capacity of parents in their parenting, leadership, facilitation and management skills; and
(4) To strengthen community volunteers and stakeholders for sustainable development.
