𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲! 🎨🖌️

This month's ILOstrate: From the Sidelines to the Spotlight, Lapis Guild is honored to talk about its roots, cause, and creative endeavors to inspire like-minded individuals.

But wait, there's more!

Lapis Guild is also enthusiastic to conduct a workshop anchored in its unique artistic form—Pixels! What can be more fun than creating a masterpiece by manipulating a single tiny square or dot?

Together with the WVSU Artist Guild, Literary Circle - USA, Augustinian Communicators' Guild, and various local artists across Iloilo, join us in this event where ideas meet action, and inspiration fuels creativity.

Don't miss your chance to be part of a transformative experience!

Mark your calendars, ka-Lapis:
📍Date and time: March 20, 2024 (1300H - 1430H)
📍Venue: CPMT Lobby, University of San Agustin

Registration starts at 0830H.

See you there!

𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭'𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 | 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲'𝐬 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

Merry Figura is the artist behind Mommy Pillow Creations. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at the University of San Agustin. When Merry was younger, she used to dance ballet, did vocal lessons, and participated in academies where she performed declamation and newscasting. Looking back, she realizes that this was where her art journey started.

She makes handpainted clay and resin jewelry, stickers, magnets, and button pins. Merry hopes to learn from fellow artisans and contribute to the ever-improving art community.

𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭'𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 | 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐦

Joana, commonly known as Wanda in the digital space, is the artist behind 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙖𝙧𝙩. As a child, she has always been known for her love of drawing and when she learned digital illustration, she has never given up the craft since then. Her vinyl stickers, reminiscent of her childhood memories, have been her bestsellers.

Joana knows that building an art career in social media entails challenges and that there is a difference between being visible and being seen. For the longest time, she has only been sharing her art on social media. It was only through being chosen as ILOstrate's artist that she experienced her first in-person art display.

Just like Joana, ILOstrate believes that art encompasses everything and that there is more to art than the social media algorithm.

𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨, we have seen how artists are underfunded and underappreciated.

That’s why we strive to move artists 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩t so they are seen.

We are ILOstrate.

Together with our partners, we recognize the vital role of creative pursuits in the development of a nation, hence, our battle cry: no artist left behind.

𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭'𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 | 𝐒𝐢 𝐆𝐢𝐘𝐚𝐫𝐧!

Gian Kyra is a woman of the arts. Gian recently started Giyarn — a small business that highlights the value of strings and yarns and what these things can make. Through crochet, she has developed values that she carries with her wherever she goes.

A woman who can draw, paint, and dance...
and above all, an artist — yan si GiYarn!
