On January 12โ13, 2026, the ๐ฃ๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ก๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ก๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ (๐ฃ๐ก๐๐ก๐), together with its partners, conducted a two-day medical mission in Barangay Avila, Buenavista, Guimaras. This activity brought together nurses, doctors, students, and volunteers from both the Philippines and the United States with one shared goalโto serve the community with care and compassion, and to make healthcare accessible in the community level.
The medical mission offered various ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐จ๐๐ง๐ซ๐๐๐๐จ, including ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ช๐ค๐ข๐ญ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ช๐ข๐ต๐ณ๐ช๐ค ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด๐ถ๐ญ๐ต๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด, ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ข๐ญ ๐ด๐ฆ๐ณ๐ท๐ช๐ค๐ฆ๐ด, ๐ค๐ช๐ณ๐ค๐ถ๐ฎ๐ค๐ช๐ด๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ, ๐ฅ๐ช๐ด๐ต๐ณ๐ช๐ฃ๐ถ๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ฆ๐บ๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐ด๐ด๐ฆ๐ด ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ช๐ค๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด, ๐ง๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐ฉ๐ข๐ช๐ณ๐ค๐ถ๐ต, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ต๐ฉ-๐ณ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ด๐ฆ๐ณ๐ท๐ช๐ค๐ฆ๐ด aimed at addressing the immediate healthcare needs of the residents.
Alongside the clinical services, students from ๐ฅ๐๐๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐จ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ also conducted health education activities at Avila Elementary School. These sessions focused on ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ฉ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐บ๐จ๐ช๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฆ, ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ข๐ญ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ข๐ญ ๐ค๐ข๐ณ๐ฆ, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ต๐ฉ๐บ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ช๐ญ๐บ ๐ฉ๐ข๐ฃ๐ช๐ต๐ด ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐จ ๐ค๐ฉ๐ช๐ญ๐ฅ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฏ. Through these activities, the mission emphasized the importance of prevention and health education, especially at a young age.
The impact of the mission was truly felt by the community. On ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ญ, a total of ๐๐๐ patients were served, while ๐๐๐ patients were accommodated on ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ. Overall, ๐ญ,๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ received medical care and health support throughout the two-day mission. These services were made possible through the dedication of around ๐ญ๐ฑ๐ฌ ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ป๐ฒ๐น, including doctors, nurses, and volunteers from New Jersey and Central Philippine University.
Furthermore, this medical mission would not have been possible without the support of many individuals and institutions. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the Province of Guimaras, the Municipality of Buenavista, and the Barangay Officials of Brgy. Avila for their support and assistance.
