BUILDING LEADERS, ONE YOUNG PERSON AT A TIME

Meet Raymund Benedick Brillantes, a student affairs and guidance professional who has dedicated more than two decades to youth development, leadership formation, volunteerism, and community engagement.

For 23 years, Mr. Brillantes has served at John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University, where he has worked to promote student development, mental wellness, leadership, and career readiness. He has also mentored award-winning young leaders and organizations, helping students transform their potential into meaningful service.

Among his many initiatives is the Model Pupil Award, which recognizes public elementary learners who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, good character, and service. He has also led the Life Coach Seminar for High School Students, supported environmental initiatives, promoted campus mental health, and mentored student organizations in community projects.

His greatest contribution is perhaps not the programs themselves, but the young people who continue to carry forward the values of leadership and service that he has helped develop.

As an Outstanding Man of Iloilo 2026, Mr. Brillantes will serve as one of the Evaluation Committee Members for The Final Action: Summit of Actions on August 29, 2026.

Because someone who has spent decades developing young leaders knows that true leadership is measured by the people we inspire, empower, and help become better versions of themselves.
