𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐨 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨

The investment delegation from the Municipality of Polomolok and the Province of South Cotabato was warmly welcomed through the joint efforts of the City Government of Iloilo and the Provincial Government of Iloilo, made possible with the assistance and coordination of the Iloilo Business Club, Inc.

The engagement brought together local government leaders and members of the Iloilo business community to discuss investment opportunities and development priorities, particularly in township development, manufacturing, hospitality, and convention infrastructure.

As Polomolok moves closer to its vision of becoming a city and South Cotabato continues to strengthen its position as a growing investment destination, the visit served as a valuable platform for dialogue, partnership-building, and the exchange of best practices that can support sustainable regional development.

The first session of the Iloilo Business Club Young Ones Huddle was a meaningful step toward shaping the future of business leadership in Western Visayas.

Through a dynamic visioning and leadership workshop, our NextGen business leaders from Iloilo, together with emerging business leaders from Antique, were challenged to imagine the future they want to help create for their communities, industries, and region. From sustainable development and innovation to inclusive growth and stronger partnerships, the ideas shared reflected both ambition and a deep sense of responsibility.

This successful session was made possible through the guidance and expertise of our facilitator, Mr. Ken Lerona, who inspired participants to think beyond today's realities and envision what is possible for the years ahead.

At Iloilo Business Club, we believe that leadership is more than succession—it is stewardship. By investing in the next generation, we are cultivating leaders who will honor what has been built, embrace innovation, and create lasting impact for future generations.

🌱🤝 𝑺𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝑬𝒂𝒔𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝒍𝒐𝒊𝒍𝒐 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚: 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Iloilo Business Club successfully hosted the second session of Speak Easy with the Iloilo Business Community, following the official launch by the Iloilo Economic Development Foundation (ILEDF) on April 17, 2026.

Held on May 29, 2026, at Days Hotel Iloilo, the event brought together business leaders and member organizations for an evening of meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning centered on sustainability. The gathering provided a platform for candid conversations on the role of the private sector in advancing sustainability initiatives and deepening Western Visayas' Sustainability Directions, while fostering stronger connections and opportunities for collective action within the business community.

Anchored on the theme,"𝑫𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑾𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒔’ 𝑺𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑫𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓," the gathering provided a valuable platform for participants to exchange ideas, discuss emerging challenges, and explore opportunities for collective action toward a more resilient and sustainable region.

The session featured a keynote message from Engr. Arecio Casing Jr., Regional Director of DEPDev VI, followed by engaging conversations on sustainability initiatives, and organizational updates.

The discussion was moderated by Mr. Ken A. Lerona, Member of the Iloilo Business Club and President & CEO of Cornelius Magnate Engagement and Consulting, who guided the exchange of insights and fostered an atmosphere of open and productive conversation.

The Board of Regents of West Visayas State University formally announces the opening of applications and nominations for 𝘁𝘄𝗼 (𝟮) 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗩𝗦𝗨 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

The Iloilo Business Club participated in the ongoing CapDev Series of the SDG Partnerships and Action for Collective Empowerment (SPACE) Project led by DEPDev VI.

In collaboration with UP CIDS and UP Visayas, the initiative continues to strengthen evidence-based and collaborative planning in identifying priority and actionable SDG interventions for Western Visayas.

IBC remains committed to engaging in programs that foster stronger regional partnerships and promote sustainable and inclusive development, with IBC President Ma. Luisa Segovia in attendance.
