Evelio Javier Day commemorates the life and legacy of ๐„๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐จ ๐. ๐‰๐š๐ฏ๐ข๐ž๐ซ, former governor of Antique and a recognized hero of Panay. He was known for his firm stand against corruption, political violence, and election fraud during the final years of the Marcos dictatorship. At a time when democratic processes were being undermined, Javier openly defended clean elections and accountable governance, choosing principle over personal safety.
