Held last September 12, 2026, at Sta. Monica Hotel, University of San Agustin, Iloilo City, the CMA Seminar 2026 brought together students, educators, and accounting professionals for a day of learning, recognition, and collaboration.
The morning session featured the ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐๐ญ๐ฐ๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐, led by Ms. Hanilore Fabul, CLSSYB, CPAE, Mr. Jayson Lu, and Dr. Marivis A. Gangoso, CPA, Dean of the College of Business. The event also included the ๐๐ง๐ฏ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐๐ซ๐, symbolizing a strengthened partnership in promoting professional development and global opportunities for aspiring management accountants. The program was supported by Ralph Ean A. Braza, CPA, MMBM, JPAMA-USA Adviser.
In the afternoon, Ms. Hanilore Fabul delivered a presentation on ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐๐ข๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ, while Mr. Gildon Pamittan shared valuable industry insights and career experiences. Participants were likewise inspired by the success stories of Mr. Janiel Alcalde, CPA, CMA (U.S.) and Ms. Lorraine Hazel Siron, CMA (U.S.), who showcased the global opportunities available through the management accounting profession.
A highlight of the afternoon was the ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ , recognizing the top three students who excelled in their academic performance and assessment examination, celebrating their dedication and potential as future accounting professionals.
The seminar was further enriched by the participation of delegates from University of the Philippines Visayas, Hua Siong College of Iloilo, St. Vincent College of Iloilo, Central Philippine University, and Western Institute of Technology, fostering connections and collaboration among future business and accounting leaders.
More than a seminar, CMA Seminar 2026 served as a platform for ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ, ๐ซ๐๐๐จ๐ ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, encouraging students to pursue excellence and embrace opportunities in the global accounting profession.
