Basura May Pulos: Pangabuhi kag Kalimpyo Program

A community initiative conducted at IRPS Village 7, Barangay Camalig, Jaro, Iloilo City.

Improper waste disposal remains a challenge in many communitiesโ€”causing pollution, health risks, and lost opportunities for recycling and livelihood. Through this program, we took action by promoting proper waste management practices such as waste segregation, recycling, and community clean-up drives.

With the active participation of residents, we were able to raise environmental awareness, improve waste practices, and strengthen community cooperation. More importantly, we inspired a new mindsetโ€”seeing waste not just as a problem, but as a resource for sustainable living.

A Community-Based Reading Enhancement Initiative of Jaro National High School Boy Scouts of the Philippines Outfit 563

"Payag: Silungan sa Pagbasaโ€ is a community outreach program designed to provide a safe, simple, and nurturing space (โ€œpayagโ€ or hut) where children can improve their reading skills.

This initiative aims to support IRPS Village 7 children of Camalig, Jaro , especially those who have limited access to educational resources, by offering guided reading sessions facilitated by volunteer teachers and Scout leaders.

BSP Outfit 563 at the Annual Jaroโ€“Agro Industrial Fair Parade

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Outfit 563 of Jaro National High School, under the Iloilo Confesor Council, proudly participated in the Annual Jaroโ€“Agro Industrial Paradeโ€”one of Jaroโ€™s most anticipated civic celebrations. Marching in proper formation and wearing their official uniforms, the scouts showcased discipline, unity, and commitment to community service.
The activity highlighted the core values of Scoutingโ€”leadership, patriotism, and volunteerismโ€”while supporting Jaroโ€™s agricultural heritage and industrial progress. More than a parade, it served as a valuable learning experience that strengthened teamwork, responsibility, and civic engagement among the scouts.
The scouts were guided by their Outfit Advisor, Erlito A. Jaro, WBH, ensuring proper decorum and exemplary conduct throughout the event. Their participation reflects the active role of BSP Outfit 563 in community-building and youth leadership.
True to their promise, the scouts remain Always Ready to serve God, country, and community.
