Aligned with the national observance and the International Day for the Elimination of violence against Women, Northern Iloilo State University - Victorino Salcedo Sara Campus, (NISU-VSC), officially launched the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and their Children (VAWC) on November 28, 2025.
The activity, spearheaded by the Campus Gender and Development (GAD) Office, gathered hundreds of students, faculty, and staff in a unified commitment to foster a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment within the academic community.
GAD Focal Person, Ms. Jaspher Hope De Julian, shares an empowering message " Safeguarding the rights, dignity, and well-being of women and children is not only a national responsibility but a shared commitment that begins with in our homes, school, and work places". Meanwhile, resource speaker Ma'am Ella Niรฑa B. Maramento, Designated Guidance Councilor, added " We have the power to influence, protect and change lives".
The Unveiling of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women Official Banner was lead by Campus Administrator Dr. Raffy B. Chavez, Campus Director, OSAS , Dr. Renette A. Valderama , and the Presidents from the three major Organizations together with their Advisers.
The campaign serves as a reminder that the university is not just a hub for learning, but a vital force in promoting social justice and human rights in Northern Iloilo.
