In spirit of active service and community care, PALASA collaborated with fellow COT student organizations for an environmental cleanup during the Augustinian Day of Service at the University of San Agustin - Basic Education Department (Sambag Campus) last August 28, 2026 in celebration of St. Augustine's Feast Day Activities.

Recognizing the PALASA officers and members who dedicate their time to lead the effort:

The USA Landscape Architecture Department and PALASA were privileged to welcome LAr. Cecilia H. Tence, PRBoLA Chairperson, and LAr. Elizabeth H. Espino, PRBoLA Member, for an enriching visit to our department last September 8, 2026.

Their presence provided meaningful insights into the evolving role of landscape architects and the profession’s continued pursuit of sustainable and functional environments. Their visit also served as an inspiring opportunity for our students to gain a deeper appreciation of the profession and its responsibilities to the communities we serve.

PALASA extends its sincere gratitude to LAr. Tence and LAr. Espino for sharing their time, expertise, and continued support in nurturing and guiding the next generation of landscape architects.

Rest In Paradise, Sir Sergio | 𝐏𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐀 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭

Architecture loses one of its brightest lights with the passing of Architect Sergio Peñasales. In today's new episode of PALASA Spotlight, we remember Sir Sergio's deep principles and boundless imagination, which inspired generations of designers through his visionary ideas and deep generosity.

Beyond his dedicated service to our chapter, Sir Sergio was one of the founding member of the PALA Inc, leaving behind a legacy of community leadership and advocacy.

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his vision remains etched in the spaces he leaves behind.

𝗣𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗔 𝗚𝗢𝗧 𝗥𝗦𝗢'𝗘𝗗!

Sixty student organizations gathered earlier, August 28, 2026 during the university’s St. Augustine Feast Day festivities for the official recognition of their organizations for Academic Year 2026–2027.

Among those recognized was the Philippine Association of Landscape Architects Students Auxiliary (PALASA), marking another milestone in its continued commitment to promoting the landscape architecture program, student engagement, and professional development within the department and externally, for the well-being of humans, flora, and fauna.
