The Organizing Committee of the Iloilo Youth Advocacy Summit (IYAS) 2026 wishes to clarify that Mayor Leni Robredo will not be physically present at the Summit on September 5, 2026. Her participation will be through a pre-recorded inspirational video message prepared for the participants of IYAS 2026.

We recognize that the wording and presentation of our original publication may have created the impression that Mayor Leni would personally attend the Summit. We regret the confusion this may have caused and are issuing this clarification to ensure that accurate information is communicated to the public.

As the original announcement has already been widely circulated, we respectfully request that media outlets, pages, organizations, and individuals who have reposted or featured it kindly update their captions, headlines, or posts to accurately reflect that Mayor Leni’s participation will be through a pre-recorded message.

We are grateful to Mayor Leni Robredo for extending her message of support to the young people of Iloilo. Her message on public service, servant leadership, and youth-led community transformation will be an important part of IYAS 2026.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support as we work to ensure that IYAS 2026 remains a meaningful gathering of young people united by advocacy, leadership, and positive community action.
