FOURTH TIME. SAME FIRE. LOUDER LEGACY. 🌿🏆

Today, we stand once again, carrying the same mission in our hands and the same fire in our hearts, because for the 4th time, the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization • Balasan NHS Council is recognized as an Outstanding Organization for the School Year 2025–2026. 🌳

With deepest gratitude, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sir Hector S. Salvacion Jr., Head of the Science Department, Ma’am Darlene Joy B. Cuatriz, and Ma’am Jelyn G. Balberona, for believing in our cause, guiding our steps, and strengthening our advocacy.

And to the YES-O Officers, this triumph is ours, because we chose to serve, to lead, and to protect what cannot speak for itself.

Today, YES-O turns blue—a quiet reminder that every drop carries life.

In the rhythm of rivers and the whisper of rain, we stand for what sustains us all.

Water is life, yet it is not endless. Only about 3% of Earth’s water is fresh, and less than 1% is easily accessible for people to use. As populations grow and climates change, the United Nations reports that billions of people already face water scarcity, while agriculture alone uses around 70% of the world’s freshwater. Every drop wasted today is a drop taken from tomorrow. Conserving water protects our health, sustains our food supply, and keeps rivers, forests, and communities alive.

Water flows quietly, but its absence speaks loudly.

𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗸𝗲: 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆 🌏🌱

The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) proudly held its newest initiative, “EcoAwake: Awareness, Action, Advocacy,” with guest speaker Mr. Bryant A. Adaniel. This meaningful event gathered the Grade 7 learners from Sections Discipline, Prudence, and Industry, strengthening their understanding of environmental awareness, climate change, and scientific factors that shape our natural world. 🌍

Through inspiring discussions and interactive learning, the activity encouraged students to recognize their role as young stewards of nature. EcoAwake served as a reminder that awareness leads to action, and advocacy guides us toward a greener and more sustainable future. ✨

𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: 𝘼 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 🌱

Today, YES-O came together with purpose—planting mangroves to protect our shores, support marine life, and build a greener tomorrow.

Mud, heat, and distance didn’t stop us; they reminded us why this mission matters.

Each seedling we planted is a promise of stronger coastlines, safer communities, and a future shaped by action, not apathy.

We, the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization • Balasan NHS Council would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to MENRO Balasan, Mr. Joven Zabala (MENRO Balasan Person-in-Charge) and Hon. Rossana P. Pasco for their invaluable contribution for the success of this activity.

Dancing with the Elements: A Tribute to Nature and Innovation 💃🕺

The rhythm of nature came alive in the Environmental Dance Competition, where creativity met advocacy in a powerful display of movement and meaning. Guided by the theme “Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future through Science and Innovation,” each performance told a story of environmental awareness, sustainability, and hope. Through every beat and step, the dancers reminded us that protecting our planet begins with harmony—between humanity, innovation, and nature itself. 🌏💚
