The Nursing Student Council (NSC) proudly takes part in ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ท๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ผ๐บ: ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฏ๐ถ๐๐๐ผ๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ธ๐ฎ๐น๐๐๐๐ด๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ ๐ง๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป, a community health initiative co-organized by the University Studentsโ Alliance โ College of Communication and the Asian Medical Studentsโ Association WVSU, held earlier today at Brgy. Inaca, Cabatuan, Iloilo.
In collaboration with the Iloilo Provincial Health Office, Iloilo Provincial Government, Cabatuan Iloilo LGU, Brgy. Inaca Council, Philippine Tuberculosis Society Inc., and the Rotaract Club of Iloilo City RID3850, the initiative brought together various sectors in delivering accessible and equitable healthcare services to the community.
Through this unified effort, essential services including general consultations, free medications, dental check-ups, fluoride application, mental health consultations, and tuberculosis screening were provided, addressing immediate health needs while promoting holistic well-being.
Alongside partner organizations and volunteers such as the Lifeline, the NSC contributed to the delivery of patient-centered care, embodying compassion, collaboration, and service beyond clinical settings. This initiative stands as a testament that healthcare, when extended hand in hand with the community, becomes a shared responsibility and a collective act of humanity.
