𝗥𝗔𝗖 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗬: 𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The Rotaract District 3870, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Iligan and the Rotaract Club of Iligan, will be conducting a relief operation to support our fellow kababayans who were forced to evacuate due to Typhoon Basyang on Friday, February 6, 2025.

We are calling for donations of the following essential items:

📌 FOOD ESSENTIALS
• Potable water
• Rice
• Canned goods
• Noodles
• Biscuits
• Empty water containers (also welcome)

📌 HYGIENE ESSENTIALS
• Soap, shampoo, detergent
• Toothbrush & toothpaste
• Diapers
• Sanitary napkins
• Alcohol
• Tissue

📌 OTHER NEEDED ITEMS
• Clean, gently used clothes (shirts, pants, footwear)
• Medicine kits (band-aids, antiseptics, paracetamol, flu medicine)
• Bedding (blankets, pillows, mats)

𝘼 𝙎𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙎𝙤𝙞𝙧é𝙚: 𝘼 𝙉𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 ❄️✨

On December 15, 2025, the Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of Iligan came together to celebrate their Joint Christmas Party, beautifully themed White Winter Wonderland. The evening became even more special as Rotarians, together with their spouses and children, gathered in the spirit of joy, inclusivity, and fellowship, truly reflecting the heart of the Rotary family.

The night was filled with fun games, meaningful fellowship, gift exchanging, a lively mass dance, and singing that brought everyone together across generations. Adding to the celebration, Rotarians and Rotaractors were recognized with special awards for their unique charm and festive spirit, filling the evening with laughter and warmth.

Special awards were given to:
• PAG James Descallar – Master of Chill-axing
• Rtn. Tyron Burlat – Elsa’s Long-Lost Cousin
• AG Mary Ann Superable-Nacion – Fresh from Ice Land
• Mr. & Mrs. Rico Cabahug – Frosted King and Queen (Couple Award)

The celebration was made even more meaningful with the induction of DRR John Myco E. Ermac as a newly inducted Rotarian, marking a significant milestone for the Rotary family.

The night concluded with fellowship, shared laughter, and a renewed commitment to service. Truly, it was an evening that reminded us that when we come together in purpose, friendship, and family, we continue to Unite for Good.

The 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 warmly welcomed 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐬, together with 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧 “𝐌𝐚𝐢” 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐬, 𝐀𝐃𝐒 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫, and 𝐀𝐆 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧, during the official𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 held on October 11, 2025, at Sweet Mommy’s Garden.

The event served as a 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲’𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 “𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝". Prior to the visit, Governor Marlowe, along with members of the Rotary Club of Iligan, visited the Iligan City Public Library, one of the club’s most impactful community projects, reaffirming the club’s continued dedication to literacy and education.

Following the site visit, the program proper commenced with the highlight of the event. President Jan Rodney R. Santos formally presented the club’s accomplishments, ongoing projects, and future goals, showcasing the club’s steadfast pursuit of service and community development.

Moreover, the Rotary Club of Iligan had the honor of inviting three outstanding student leaders, Shakira Farhana T. Derico, Ma. Carmela Beatriz D. Figueroa, and Mikka Ella Ysabelle T. Del Villar, to witness Rotary’s culture of service and to share their personal advocacies, which closely align with Rotary’s ideals of leadership and community empowerment.

Subsequently, the program concluded with a fellowship gathering, providing an opportunity for members and guests to strengthen connections and celebrate the collective spirit of volunteerism.

Furthermore, the club extends its heartfelt appreciation to Governor Marlowe for gracing the visit, for sharing his valuable insights, and for continually inspiring everyone to uphold the ideals of Rotary. Gratitude is also extended to all Rotarians and guests who honored the occasion with their presence. Special thanks are likewise given to the Rotaract Club of Iligan, headed by President Michelle Miñao, for their valuable assistance in the preparations, as well as to DRR John Myco Ermac for his presence and support during the event.

Indeed, through unity and shared purpose, we continue to serve above self and make a lasting difference in our community.

Today is 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐲, a reminder that our fight to end polio is not over. Guided by Rotary International’s mission to serve humanity and create lasting change, every vaccine given, every effort made, and every voice raised brings us closer to a world free from this disease. Together, let’s stand for a future where no child has to suffer from polio.

The Rotary Club of Iligan, together with District Governor Marlowe C. Selecios, Lady Ellen “Mai” Selecios, ADS Mariette Castigador, AG Mary Ann Superable-Nacion, and DRR John Myco Ermac, visited the club’s flagship project – the Iligan City Library.

Following the site visit, the President’s Report was presented at Sweet Mommy’s Garden.
