Ngayong buwan ng Hunyo, ipinagdiriwang natin ang pagmamahal, pagkakapantay-pantay, at kalayaan na maging tunay sa ating sarili.

Ang Pride ay hindi lamang selebrasyon—ito ay paalala ng tapang, pakikibaka, at tagumpay ng LGBTQIA+ community sa pagtataguyod ng karapatan at dignidad para sa lahat.

Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang isang lipunang walang diskriminasyon, puno ng paggalang, pagtanggap, at pagmamahal. Dahil ang bawat kulay ay may halaga, at bawat tao ay nararapat mahalin at respetuhin.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Sunny Jumuad.

For more than 20 years, Sunny was an integral part of IMGLAD’s journey as a trustee, founding member, and peacebuilder. But beyond titles and roles, he was someone many leaned on: a grounding and nurturing presence who cared deeply for people and communities.

He dedicated much of his life to empowering LGBTIQ-identifying individuals, especially within Bangsamoro communities. He nurtured artists, welcomed people going through difficult times, and extended kindness and support without hesitation. Many found not only guidance in him, but also comfort, refuge, and home.

His life and work touched countless communities and queerblings through the years. His absence will be deeply felt, but the care, compassion, and solidarity he shared with others will continue to live on in the people whose lives he helped shape.

Maraming salamat, Sunny.

You will be deeply missed.
