🚨 MOVEMENT AGAINST PRIVATIZATION OF NPC APHEC 🚨

Yesterday, Bishop Joey Ramirez Rapadas (Diocese of Iligan), Melchie Ambalong (Minpo Cof), and Abel Moya (Iligan City People’s Council) led a powerful press conference against the privatization of the Agus-Pulangui Hydroelectric Power Complex. They were joined by Carino Acv Antequisa (ECOWEB, Inc.) and Engr. Robert Mamauag (PGEA).

Even if PSALM claims it's not "full privatization," any move that raises electricity prices must be stopped. APHEC generates ₱9.2 BILLION annually—more than enough to fund its own upgrades. Private investment is NOT needed.

OUR DEMAND TO CONGRESS:

1. STOP all PPP, IPPA, concession, or privatization plans for APHEC.
2. MANDATE full government-led rehabilitation.
3. AMEND EPIRA to permanently exempt Agus-Pulangi from privatization.
4. Ensure transparent, participatory decision-making involving the people of Mindanao.

This isn't about rehabilitation. It's about profit. Stop the privatization. Defend affordable power! 💡✊
