Last October 17, 2025, during the JCI Philippines 77th National Convention held in Legazpi, Albay, JCI Iligan Maria Cristina proudly received the AAC Leadership Award of Appreciation for AAC Jzietel Alemania. 🌟

Our 2025 Local Organization President, Uma Roa, graciously accepted the award on her behalf — a true testament to AAC Jzietel’s unwavering dedication and leadership as Area Awards Chairperson. 🩷

Though she couldn’t be physically present at the event, her passion, hard work, and commitment to service continue to inspire and uplift not only our chapter but the entire Area 5 community. We are beyond proud of her achievements and the impact she continues to make. 💪🩷

🌟💛 SPARKLE Spreads Brighter Connections in Cavite 💛🌟

Last October 6, we at JCI Iligan Maria Cristina gathered at ConnectEd Kids Therapy Center in Silang, Cavite for another meaningful SPARKLE onboarding session. This event brought together parents and SLPs for an inspiring introduction to the Pic-A-Talk AAC app and the SPARKLE program, tools that open doors for children to be heard and understood. 📱💬✨

As JCI Iligan Maria Cristina, we are proud to continue our partnership with Pic-A-Talk in championing inclusivity, alongside the incredible support of JCI IMUS Wagayway, JCI Silang Cattleya, and JCI Silang Pasimuno. Together, we empower families to guide children in breaking communication barriers and shining brighter in their daily lives. 🌟

See you soon, Cavite!

✨ JCI Iligan Maria Cristina and JCI Imus Wagayway will bring Project SPARKLE (Speech Program Advocating Rehabilitation, Knowledge, and Language Empowerment) to Cavite this October 6, 2025! 🌟

This initiative is dedicated to empowering children with speech and language challenges through an accessible and customizable Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tool that grows with their needs.

👧🧒 Connected Kids Therapy Center in Silang, Cavite will be the project’s beneficiary, where the Pic-A-Talk app will be introduced and SPARKLE kits distributed. To ensure lasting impact, monthly check-ins and evaluations will follow the onboarding process.

🤝 The project is made stronger through the support of JCI Silang Cattleya and JCI Silang Pasimuno.

Together, let’s spark hope, growth, and empowerment! 💙

Last September 17, together with Pic-A-Talk, we gathered virtually with the parents and SLPs of Angels Ladder Therapy Center for an inspiring SPARKLE onboarding session. 🌟

This initiative was made possible through the partnership and support of JCI Daet Kabihug and JCI Naga, alongside JCI Iligan Maria Cristina — united by the mission to create positive change and build communities that care, empower, and uplift. 💙

Through the SPARKLE program and the Pic-A-Talk app, families are given tools to break barriers in communication, guiding children towards confidence, connection, and brighter tomorrows. 📱💬

🌟 Project GASA (Giving and Saving All) Year 4 🌟

In celebration of National Heroes Month, we were honored to be part of Project GASA Year 4 last August 28, 2025 at the Iligan City Public Plaza. This initiative, spearheaded by our partners, has grown from a simple blood drive into a movement of compassion that continues to save lives and uplift communities. 💛💙

This year’s impact included:
🩸 23 bags of blood collected — sustaining local blood banks and giving patients a second chance at life.
🧪 50+ individuals screened for HIV — raising awareness and promoting early intervention.
🦴 50+ community members availed free bone scanning & health services thanks to Grospe Polymedic Infirmary Hospital.
🎓 70+ students engaged in a health symposium — empowering the youth with knowledge on preventive healthcare and healthy living.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our fellow partners — Rotaract Club of Iligan South, Rotary Club of Iligan South, JCI Senate Kasadya Manticao, and Red Cross — for leading this impactful effort. 🙌
