The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines โ Iligan Bay Chapter (IECEP-IBC), in partnership with the MSU-IIT College of Engineering, proudly concludes the PTC-CASEE Seminar-Workshopโmarking a significant step toward global engineering excellence.
For three transformative days, faculty members from the various departments of the College of Engineering of MSU-IITโled by the strong participation of the Department of Electronics Engineering (DECE), alongside the Departments of Electrical Engineering (DEE), Civil Engineering and Technology (DCET), Mechanical Engineering and Technology (DMET), Materials and Resources Engineering and Technology (DMRET), Chemical Engineering and Technology (DCHET), and Computer Engineering and Mechatronics (DCEM)โcame together with a shared purpose:
*To elevate the quality of engineering education through Outcomes-Based Education (OBE)
*To align with international standards under the Washington Accord
*To strengthen systems for accreditation, assessment, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
This milestone workshop was made even more meaningful as it was personally conducted by two of the most respected leaders in engineering accreditationโEngr. Federico A. Monsada, President of the Philippine Technological Council (PTC), and Engr. May Rose Castro- Imperial, PhD, Chairperson of the PTC Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) and former National President of IECEPโwhose expertise and leadership greatly enriched the learning experience of all participants.
This was not just a seminar.
It was a collective commitment to transformationโuniting academe and professional organizations toward a shared vision of excellence in engineering education.
With 12 CPD credit points earned, this initiative reflects IECEP-IBCโs continued commitment to:
โข Advancing the professional development of engineers
โข Supporting quality engineering education aligned with global standards
โข Strengthening collaboration between industry, academe, and professional organizations
More importantly, it reinforces a deeper mission:
*We are not just preparing for accreditation.
*We are preparing engineers who will lead, innovate, and serve in a global landscape.
As IECEP-IBC moves forward, we remain steadfast in our commitmentโto support the development of globally competitive electronics engineers and to work hand in hand with our partners in shaping the future of engineering education.
In line with the mission of IECEP, we reaffirm our roleโto harness engineering excellence in service of nation-buildingโdriving innovation, strengthening industries, and contributing to the sustainable development of our country.
