Compassion doesn't have to come in large amounts. Sometimes, it begins with ₱100, ₱10, or even ₱1.

In the aftermath of the Southern Mindanao earthquake, many students and families are struggling to recover from losses that extend far beyond damaged homes and disrupted routines. Behind every statistic is a story of resilience, uncertainty, and hope.

Today, we are called not simply to witness their struggle, but to stand with them. Through this donation drive initiative, the CASS Student Council, in collaboration with MSU-Gensan CSSH Students’ Organization and other Social Science Department of MSU System, invite you to be part of a collective effort to provide relief and support to those affected. No contribution is too small when it helps restore dignity, security, and hope.

June 12, 1898 proclaimed as the Philippine Independence day—the Acta de la Proclamacion de la Independencia del Pueblo Filipino authored by Ambrosio Rianzares Bautista as issued by Emilio Aguinaldo in Cavite El Viejo—was finally read to the public to declare a nation free from the Spanish inquisitors. The event does not emphasize the success of the motherland's freedom from foreign colonial power—whether true freedom was achieved for the common Filipino, as history regards the following tragedies to come. This day remarks the hope of the people; the continuity of fighting—believing in a free country, and remembering those who fought for our right to believe.
