Higala Communities Initiative, Inc. paid a courtesy visit to the Barangay Captain of Abuno, Iligan City, in preparation for the upcoming 1000 Little Steps Program.

Soon, 100 children in Abuno will receive slippers, food, and party bags as part of our mission to bring hope and joy through small acts of kindness. ๐Ÿงก

Today we presented the Peace Pals Program to five partner schools in Marawi City, strengthening our shared commitment to peace education and child development.

This meaningful engagement was joined by 5 School Principals under MBHTE SDO-Marawi City, DIO DR. Mona Miscille Domato , TPBPM Lanao Circle - SALAM for Peace Collectives , Lt. Nica D Aaron of 2Coy 1CMOBn, and few of HCIInc Board of Trustees - all united in nurturing young peacebuilders through dialogue, creativity, and compassion.

Together, we continue building pathways from vulnerability to dignity and peace, one child and one school at a time.

100 children benefit from the โ€œ1000 Little Stepsโ€ initiative in Barangay Suarez Iligan City.

Over 100 children in Barangay Suarez, Iligan City benefited from the first day of the โ€œ1000 Little Stepsโ€ program of Higala Community Initiative Inc., where 100 pairs of slippers, loot bags, and prizes were distributed through fun games and activities.

More than providing basic needs, the initiative brought joy, hope, and meaningful community engagement to the young beneficiaries - reflecting the organizationโ€™s commitment to compassionate service and stronger community ties.

DAY 1 | 1000 Little Steps Program in Suarez ๐Ÿงก

Today, the first 100 out of 1,000 children received slippers, party bags, and meals through the 1000 Little Steps Campaign of Higala Communities Initiative, Inc., launched in March 2026.

The program was created to support day care students by providing simple yet meaningful essentials that bring comfort, dignity, and joy. Through every pair of slippers, every meal, and every act of kindness, the campaign hopes to remind each child that they are seen, valued, and cared for.
