On this day, we celebrate the 𝟖𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 (Day of Valor) to commemorate those heroic warriors—whose bravery and sacrifices laid the groundwork for our nation's freedom. Moreover, every Filipino was reminded of the value of solidarity and unity in the creation of the nation by their tales of bravery and teamwork.

May solidarity and patriotism be the innermost values to be exercised on this momentous occasion by the rulers of this nation and us, the sovereign Filipino people.

With that, continue joining us as we 𝐁𝐄𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃 the strength of JPIAns and 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐕𝐄 in the spirit of camaraderie for we 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆 to one JPIAn alliance propelling forward and braving diversity.

On this day, 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟎, we celebrate the crucial role and contribution of accountants in uplifting our society.

Almost every sector of our society that involves money needs accounting to balance its books and achieve its financial goals. Accountants were trained to uphold outstanding values of the profession such as integrity and independence that guide them in helping organizations and businesses to thrive.

The accounting job not only uses the left-brain functions as it also uses the right-brain functions. Accounting is not only limited to numbers that balance debits and credits. It is also about being able to creatively analyze business transactions and solve complex problems.

Given the daunting Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants, there will always be a high demand for accountants in every country as businesses and organizations require expertise and added value service that only accountants can provide.

A sort of trivia, this special date was also chosen to honor 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐢 as the "𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠."

Yayy! It's a wrap!

The General Assembly Meeting, which was successfully held on October 15, 2022 at St. Michael's College Auditorium, was expected to accommodate 80 Accounting Students.

The meeting was presided over by Ma'am Ave Z. Danganan, DM, LPT, the excellent Dean, with assistance from the outstanding professors in the Accountancy Department, Ma'am Emma Mariz B. Garcia, RN, CPA, Atty. Vogue Vernal Orcullo, CPA, and Ma'am Anna Mitos J. Dizon.

We appreciate you for giving us the opportunity to discuss our retention policy. The meeting provided us vital information about our program and deepen our understanding of the fact that the profession we plan to enter in the near future will not be simple and that we must put a lot of effort into achieving our goals.

A special thanks also to the Allen Kate R. Malazarte that became a master of the ceremony and to our Guest, Regional Vice for Finance, Princess Aaliyah H. Polangi for discussing some important information about NFJPIA - Region 10 & CARAGA.

The Genaral Assembly won't be successful without you. We sincerely appreciate it.

Hello to our dear seniors who are going to take the CPALE, forget the hesitations and wavering, believe in yourself that all your hardwork will payoff. You've made it so far, and you only have a little way to go.

Keep going and don't stop! You're almost on the finish line. Always maintain a positive outlook and refuse to give up, after all there’s always light at the end of the tunnel as what Walt Whitman Rostow once said.

Soar high, and aim high our beloved seniors. Wishing you all the best. You are going to do great!

𝔻𝕖𝕤𝕡𝕚𝕥𝕖 𝕚𝕥𝕤 𝕤𝕞𝕒𝕝𝕝 𝕤𝕚𝕫𝕖, 𝕊𝕄ℂ 𝕁ℙ𝕀𝔸 𝕚𝕤 𝕟𝕠𝕟𝕖𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕝𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕒𝕓𝕝𝕖 𝕥𝕠 𝕥𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕥 𝕚𝕟 𝕒𝕝𝕝 𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕖𝕤.

The Third Show Off JPIA was held from September 23 to September 25, 2022. The week's theme was “Beholding Talents Through Believing Possibilities” and it was observed virtually. Saint Michael's College was one of 23 local chapters from across Region X and CARAGA who were invited and participated in the celebration by showing their skills and intelligence.

The said event has 2 categories. Academic and Non-academic League. Academic League is composed of CUP 1: Basic Accounting, CUP 2: Mixed Accounting and JPIAN Quiz Bee. Meanwhile, Non-Academic League is consists of JPIA Got Talent, Mini Vlog and Photo Challenge.

The SMC JPIA would like to express its sincere appreciation for your participation in the event. To the CBAA Family, who never failed to stand behind us. To Ma’am Ave Z. Danganan, DM and Ma’am Emma Mariz B. Garcia, RN, CPA for supporting us all during the event. To the previous Local Chapter President, Ms. Lobna B. Adato, who is always there for us, guiding and advising us. To the President of our JPIA, Mr. Juffali Yusoph R. Sarip who constantly finds the positive side of any situation and empowers his followers to be resilient. To the participants, whose work is amazing and has raised the bar for our Local Chapter. To the members who stand with us through the entire event. This accomplishment is for each and every one of you! Once more, we want to thank you for your support and ask that you keep anticipating our flight this academic year.
