Itโs easy to follow when our leaders are strong, confident, and walking steadily in faith. But have you ever asked yourself, โWhat if my leaders fail?โ What if the very people we look up to stumble? What if the ones who usually pray for us are now the ones in need of prayer?
The truth is, our leaders are not superheroes. They are human, just like us. They get weary, they face temptations, and sometimes, they might even make wrong decisions. And when that happens, itโs not an invitation for us to judge them or to gossip about their mistakes. Itโs a calling for us to respond differently.
When our leaders fall short, thatโs when they need us the most. Thatโs when it becomes our turn to be their source of encouragement. To be someone they can lean on. To lovingly rebuke them if needed, not to tear them down, but to help restore them. To cover them in prayer, asking God to strengthen their hearts and renew their spirit.
We are not molded to condemn or to throw stones at them. God did not design the church as a place of judgment but as a family, where even leaders can find grace and support. The truth is, no one is exempt from weakness. And if we are quick to criticize, we forget that one day, it could also be us who will need mercy and understanding.
Let us choose to stand with our leaders, even when they falter. Let us be the ones who lift them up instead of pushing them down. Because in the end, what keeps the church strong is not perfect leaders, but a united body that carries one anotherโs burdens.
"Carry each otherโs burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." โ Galatians 6:2
