Alhamdulillah, the COMSA 1st Islamic Seminar 2026 was successfully held on September 18, 2026, at the ICC AVR, Ground Floor, bringing together Muslim students, alumni, and guests for an afternoon of learning, reflection, and meaningful connection.

The seminar was graced by Shaykh Abdullah “Abu Raffy” Abdul Rahman, who shared valuable reminders on “Building the Character of a True Mu’min: How to Strengthen Our Faith and Practice Islam.” His message reminded us of the importance of strengthening our faith, developing good character, and striving to practice Islam in our daily lives.

We are grateful for the presence and participation of the Lycean Muslim Student Association (LMSA), United Muslim Phinmanians for Islamic Affairs (UMPIA), Amalol Ummah Fil Filibbeen (AUFF), Muslim Student League for Islamic Affairs (MSLIA), MSU- IIT Muslim Students Association (MIMSA) and Medical Muslim Student Association (MMSA), whose presence added meaning to this gathering and strengthened the spirit of unity among Muslim youth.

Jazakumullahu khayran to our esteemed speaker, participating organizations, alumni, Muslim students, guests, and everyone who took part in this meaningful gathering.

A special appreciation goes to the COMSA officers and volunteers whose time, effort, and cooperation contributed to the success of the seminar.

May Allah accept our efforts, grant us beneficial knowledge, strengthen our faith, and guide us to practice what we have learned. May this gathering inspire us to become better Muslims and responsible members of our community.

The Ummah is connected by faith, and one of the beautiful ways we can show our care for our brothers and sisters is by remembering them in our du'a.

There are Muslims around the world facing different hardships whether poverty, hunger, displacement, fear, or difficult circumstances. While we may not always be able to help directly, we can always turn to Allah the One who hears every sincere prayer.

In these du'as, we ask Allah for protection, strength, patience, forgiveness, relief, and help for those who are suffering. Let us make these prayers sincerely, not only during times of difficulty, but as a regular reminder that the Ummah remains in our hearts.🤍

May Allah protect our brothers and sisters wherever they may be, provide for those in need, ease the burdens of those who are suffering, forgive our sins, strengthen our faith, and grant the Ummah patience, guidance, safety, and peace. Ameen.

We are pleased to announce to all Muslim students of Iligan Medical Center College (IMCC) that our Request for Excused Absence for Monday, September 14, 2026, has been officially approved. This approval allows our official BARMM-registered voters sufficient travel time to return home and participate in the historic BARMM Parliamentary Elections.

On behalf of the Medical Muslim Students' Association (MMSA), we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our IMCC President, ROYCE S. TORRES, PhD, and the entire IMCC Administration. We deeply appreciate your continuous support, understanding, and respect for the needs and civic rights of our Muslim and Moro students.

Exam week is here. 📝 As we prepare ourselves for our exams, let us also prepare our hearts by turning to Allah through du'a.

When things feel difficult, ask Allah for ease. When you feel nervous about speaking or answering, ask Him to make your words clear. When you struggle to remember what you studied, ask Him for beneficial knowledge and understanding.

“My Allah, increase me in knowledge.”

The Medical Muslim Student Association (MMSA) proudly participated in the Awareness and Consultation Meeting with Al-Jalis As-Salih, in coordination with the NCMF Iligan Field Office, held on August 25, 2026.

Together with Muslim Student Associations (MSAs) from different schools across Iligan City, we came together to discuss Hijab awareness, Muslim student rights, leadership, unity, and the concerns of Muslim students.

The consultation focused on Hijab awareness, Muslim student rights, leadership, and unity. It provided an opportunity for Muslim students to learn, share concerns, and strengthen our collective voice. 🧕🏻🤝🏻

MMSA remains committed to serving, representing, and empowering Muslim students through unity, awareness, and meaningful participation.

ISLAMIC AWARENESS SEMINAR

“Pagmamahal o Pagmamalabis: The Boundaries of Love and Following the Sunnah”

Alhamdulillah! The Medical Muslim Student Association (MMSA), together with its dedicated officers, volunteers, and members, proudly joined the Islamic Awareness Seminar held at Al-Jalis As-Salih.

With the meaningful theme, “Pagmamahal o Pagmamalabis: The Boundaries of Love and Following the Sunnah,” the seminar became a valuable opportunity for us to deepen our understanding of what it truly means to love our beloved Messenger, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ—not only through words, but through learning, understanding, and following his authentic Sunnah.

“Say, [O Muhammad], ‘If you should love Allah, then follow me, so Allah will love you and forgive you your sins.’”
— Qur’an 3:31

This verse reminds us that true love for Allah is demonstrated through following the Messenger ﷺ. Our love should not stop at admiration; it should inspire us to learn his teachings, follow his authentic Sunnah, and apply his beautiful example in our daily lives.

Through the seminar, we learned more about the life and sacrifices of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his immense love and concern for his Ummah, his patience and compassion, and his deep devotion and obedience to Allah ﷻ. His life teaches us how to love with sincerity, worship with humility, and live with purpose.

This seminar enlightened us to love with knowledge, follow with sincerity, and practice the Sunnah with wisdom.

Alhamdulillah for another meaningful opportunity to learn, reflect, and grow in our Deen. May Allah ﷻ increase us in beneficial knowledge, strengthen our love for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and guide us to follow his authentic Sunnah with sincerity and understanding. AMEEN.

“Ang Hangganan ng Pagmamahal at Pagsunod sa Sunnah”

Paano ba natin tunay na ipinapakita ang ating pagmamahal kay Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?

Ang pagmamahal sa Sugo ni Propeta Muhammad ﷺ ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa damdamin o sa mga nakasanayang expression ng pagmamahal. Ang tunay na pagmamahal ay dapat nakabatay sa Qur’an, authentic Sunnah, tamang kaalaman, pagsunod, at pag-unawa sa halimbawa ng As-Salaf As-Salih.
