Field of concern: Personal Development

On January 16, 2026, the CCADRES Rover Circle 0924-02 organized a training event called the "Learn to Swim / Swimming Activity". This event was held under the BSP Iligan City Council. The main goal of the day was Personal Development, focusing on teaching Rover Scouts important life skills through water training.

The activity was held in Brgy. Buruun, Iligan City, which is a great place for aquatic scout training. Our instructor, Mackoy Morin , guided the participants through the training session. Under his instruction, the Rover Scouts practiced and learned three specific swimming styles: Freestyle, Breaststroke, and the Elementary Backstroke. These exercises helped the participants improve their swimming skills and learn how to stay safe in the water.

We were honored to have several special guests and participants joined us for this event. This included Rover Alcantara Gwendolyn, Institutional Head of ROVER Scouts Eastern Iligan and the Regional Deputy Program Commissioner for Rover Scouting of the Rover Scout Northeastern Mindanao Region. We were also joined by Rover Scouts from Eastern Iligan and several Senior Scouts, all working together to build their skills.

The activity was a great success, helping everyone involved grow in confidence and discipline. By holding this event, the Iligan City Council showed its continued support for the practical training and personal growth of its scouts.
