𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞: 𝐀 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞-𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗕𝗣 𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗠𝗔 recognizes the importance of proper management for life-threatening complications caused by hypertension to save lives, do no further harm, and encourage recovery.

Stroke, being one of the life-threatening complications of hypertension, requires adequate attention and timely intervention. With this, the project has utilized 📖 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗜𝗘𝗖) 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 📖 that provide general information regarding 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘺𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯. This IEC material outlines the fundamental definition, signs (emphasized by the BE FAST mnemonic), and symptoms of stroke as well as its corresponding basic first aid.

Through knowledge and awareness, the project aims to emphasize the importance of understanding stroke being the first step towards preventing life-threatening effects and leading a more 𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗮 life. ❤️‍🩹

As one of the primary goals of 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗕𝗣 𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗠𝗔, raising awareness is an essential part in the prevention and control of hypertension within the community.

Aligned to this goal, the project has utilized 📖 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗜𝗘𝗖) 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 📖 that provide general information regarding 𝘩𝘺𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯. This IEC material, produced for the 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗨𝗽! 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀: 𝗔 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 held on March 8, outlines the fundamental definition and symptoms of hypertension as well as its corresponding healthy lifestyle interventions.

World Health Day is celebrated on April 7 to commemorate the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948. It raises awareness about global health issues and promotes well-being, with this year’s theme, “Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures.”

In celebration of World Health Day, Butlak collaborates and celebrates the community projects of public health students from the University of the Philippines Visayas for their successful completion.

The 🚗 𝐙𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧: 𝐌𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐙𝐮𝐦𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬 💃 has finally reached its 🪧 last stop 🛣️ - the place of 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘴 😁, 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 💗, and 𝘬𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 🩺 of everyone who joined the caravan with us towards a 𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓁𝓉𝒽𝒾𝑒𝓇 𝒮𝒶𝓃 𝒜𝓂𝒷𝓇𝑜𝓈𝒾𝑜 ❤️‍🩹.

We heartily thank all of our 𝙕𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙪𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨 👪 who attended and supported our zumba sessions and made every effort to dedicate their time to come together and support one another as a community 🙌.

As 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 disembarks into a new route🚦, 𝐙𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧 in 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗼 will always be operational with our newly licensed 🚨 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴 🚨(ang aton mga BHWs, Barangay Officials, kag Recreational Officers) stationed in every Ermita.
