The Ingan Leyte Project (ILP) endeavors to empower disadvantaged children and their parents, so they may escape poverty and emerge as strong, self-supporting families within a context of caring communities . The overall program is best described by the acronym H-E-L-P-S which focuses on 5 basic needs:

H—HEALTH care including children’s good nutrition program, sanitation, and assistance in medical health issues....

E– EDUCATION: serving children from preschool, elementary, high school and eventually college students. The resource center provides opportunities for students to have access to reading & reference materials for homework and eventually computers to enhance students learning. A tutorial program is in place to help students who need help in the basic skills –reading, math and language arts . L–LIVELIHOOD opportunities, including agricultural training, family livelihood projects, and the teaching of new skills such as organic farming, and eventually creating their own financial institution to help meet the needs of members towards sustainability e.g the Ingan Leyte Project Agriculture Cooperative (ILPAGRICO). PEACE & FAITH program that seeks to develop their spiritual values that will help children become good citizens of their own communities and the world. S– SUSTAINABILITY & SPONSORSHIP (See EDUCATION)

As a result of its comprehensive program, the Ingan, Leyte Project (ILP) anticipates that in the future, through your assistance, more children will emerge from poverty, establish self-supporting families and become contributing members of their communities.
