In honor of Thanos’ 7th birthday, BJS Foundation decided to celebrate by sharing the blessings he has received throughout his life: good health, a loving family, and a home filled with care and comfort. 🐾

To give back, we donated three sacks of dog food to the beneficiaries of the BACH Project dog shelter and prepared special “doggy bags” filled with packed biscuits and popcorn, complete with customized “Thanos” stickers for the shelter’s hardworking staff and caretakers.

Beyond the donations, one of the most meaningful parts of the day was spending time with the rescued dogs—sharing love, warmth, and affection with animals waiting for their forever homes.

It was truly a birthday and Mother’s Day celebration filled with purpose, gratitude, and compassion. Happy 7th Birthday, Thanos! 🤍🐶

Throwback Friday | Action through Passion

Last November 2024, even before BJS Foundation was officially formed, four of our pioneer members came together to extend help to evacuees in Bago City affected by the Mt. Kanlaon eruption. With homes covered in ashfall, many families were forced to evacuate, leaving behind valuables and non-essentials, choosing instead to protect what mattered most: their loved ones and their health.

With simple means but sincere hearts, our team personally cooked arroz caldo and brought hot pandesal to the evacuation center. It may not have been much, but it was enough to bring warmth and comfort, especially to the children and elderly, ensuring that even for a moment, their tummies were full and cared for.

This moment reminds us that service doesn’t begin with an organization—it begins with compassion. In times of crisis, a heart for the community brings people together, proving that even the smallest acts of kindness can help rebuild hope, one meal at a time.

“A Birthday Worth Remembering” 🎂✨

Last April 12, 2026, BJS Foundation Director, Ms. April Therese Escarda, chose to celebrate her 30th birthday in the most meaningful way—by sharing it with our brothers, sisters, and lolas at the Missionaries of Charity – Home of Joy, Tinagong Paraiso, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City. 🤍

The celebration was graced by our founder, Ms. Jiea Therese Sian, who hosted the event alongside one of our pioneer members, Mrs. Resa Jane Solidarios. Together, they brought energy, joy, and heartfelt moments to both the children and the elderly.

Through the collective efforts of the foundation, its members, and the Escarda family, our beneficiaries were treated to meals, bread, and desserts. Generous friends and loved ones of the celebrant also shared their blessings through donations of dental kits, vitamins, medicines, and other daily essentials.

The afternoon was filled with laughter and love—fun games, exciting prizes, song and dance performances, coloring activities, bracelet-making, and meaningful bonding across generations. 🌈

To our beautiful and dynamic Director, Ms. April—belated happy 30th birthday! Your heart for service is truly inspiring, and your kindness speaks volumes about the person you are.

BJS Foundation is grateful to have been part of your special day. Your BJS family will always stand with you in all your endeavors.

Godspeed and God bless you, April Therese—born in April, blessed with love. ❤️

Last April 9, 2026, as we commemorated Araw ng Kagitingan, we also honored the spirit of modern-day heroes through service.

Our founder, Ms. Jiea Therese T. Sian, together with our Foundation Director, Ms. April Therese L. Escarda, joined the volunteers of NVC Foundation – Negrense Volunteers for a Change in distributing food supplies to jeepney drivers in Bacolod City. The activity, held in batches at the NVC Foundation Headquarters, aimed to support our hardworking public transport drivers during this challenging time.

Essential goods such as vegetables, dried fish, and rice were provided to the beneficiaries—simple yet meaningful assistance for those who keep our communities moving every day.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to NVC Foundation for being a beacon of hope and for giving us the opportunity to take part in this impactful initiative.

At BJS Foundation, volunteerism lies at the heart of what we do. Beyond organizing our own outreach programs, we remain committed to supporting and collaborating with organizations that share our vision of service and compassion.

This meaningful Araw ng Kagitingan reminds us that heroism lives on—not only in history, but in every act of kindness and unity. We look forward to continuing this journey of service in the days to come.

What began as a slow and quiet morning beautifully unfolded into a vibrant afternoon filled with people strolling through the gallery, sipping wine, engaging in conversations, and taking time to admire each piece of art. The energy shifted, and the space came alive—making our art exhibit a true success.

This event would not have been possible without our generous sponsors who believed in our cause and chose to support local talent and traditional art. If this exhibit proved anything, it is that Negrenses are truly remarkable—architects, lawyers, and juris doctors who equally possess immense creativity and artistic talent.

The success of this exhibit is owed to our five incredibly talented featured artists:
Atty. Lance Militar
Atty. Lotus Bongco
Mrs. Grace Chen
Architect Riza Distrito
Krisha Bodios, J.D.

You have shown that art is a powerful and healthy outlet—to release emotions, ease stress, and express oneself freely. Your passion and talent are truly admirable.

We also extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who joined us, appreciated the artworks, shared meaningful conversations, and enjoyed the artistry and company throughout the day.

And to our sponsors, thank you for making this possible:
1. Mr. Reynaldo Omandac
2. Dozy Cafe
3. Cherob Pacheco
4. SKG Shopping Center
5. Caltex Gasoline Station
6. Highway Tires
7. Urban Trucking
8. Grind Box Gym
9. Brewzy
10. Chikuumi

Here’s to more initiatives like this in the future—celebrating art, community, and the incredible talent among us.
