TO ALL THE STUDENTS OF SLSU

The SLSU Federal Commission on Elections (SLSU FEDCOM) officially announces the conclusion of the screening processes and the final list of candidates for the upcoming SSCF Federal Popular Elections through Memorandum Circular No. 6, s. 2026, issued today, April 15, 2026.

Following the successful screening at the RPN Hall, the student body is hereby informed of the official candidates:

• Wesley Jyllian D. Palines (CAS) – President/Student Regent
• Elain Rozchle V. Ayala (CTE) – Vice President for Internal Affairs
• Kent C. Tan (Catanauan) – Vice President for External Affairs
• Lara Grace April Acuña (Gumaca) – Vice President for External Affairs
• Ramon Miquel B. Ballena (CABHA) – Vice President for Finance and IGP

The official Campaign Period will run from April 16 to April 27, 2026. We encourage the SLSU community to get to know the candidates and their platforms as we head toward the Miting de Avance and Election Day.

The Memorandum highlights the Senators-elect from the recent Local Student Council Elections across the local colleges and campuses, and identifies the individuals eligible to file their candidacy for the upcoming SSCF Federal Popular Election 2026.

𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐋 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍- The student body of Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) Gumaca Campus officially cast their votes for the next generation of leaders during the General Student Council Elections held yesterday, March 6, 2026.

The Function Hall served as the primary polling center, seeing a steady stream of students from various departments eager to participate in the democratic process. This year's election followed a high-energy campaign season, culminating in a record voter turnout as students selected their representatives for the Supreme Student Council (SSC) and local college councils.

𝐒𝐋𝐒𝐔 𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐀𝐂𝐀 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐔𝐒- Candidates for the Supreme Student Council (SSC) took to the stage for the highly anticipated Miting de Avance last March 5, 2026, held at the SLSU Gumaca Campus Function Hall.

The event served as the final battleground for student leaders to present their platforms and defend their visions for the campus. With the theme of transparency and proactive leadership, the candidates engaged in a heated yet constructive "open forum" section, addressing student concerns ranging from campus facilities to student rights.
