Akbayan Youth - Gumaca

𝗡𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗦𝗞𝗘 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗮, 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼!

Mariing kinokondena ng Akbayan Youth ang panibagong tangkang ipagpaliban ang 2026 Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE). Hindi ito simpleng pagbabago ng iskedyul kundi tahasang pag-agaw sa karapatan ng mamamayan, lalo na ng kabataan, na pumili ng kanilang mga kinatawan. Sa isang demokrasya, hindi maaaring maging opsyon ang pagpapaliban ng halalan sa tuwing nagiging madali ito sa mga nasa kapangyarihan.

Sa bawat pagpapaliban ng BSKE, pinahahaba ang panunungkulan ng mga opisyal na wala nang sariwang mandato mula sa taumbayan. Ang pagpapalawig ng termino nang walang halalan ay hindi demokratikong repormak kundi pag-iwas sa pananagutan. Ang mandato ay hindi ipinagkakaloob ng Kongreso; ito ay ipinagkakatiwala ng mga mamamayan sa pamamagitan ng malaya at regular na eleksyon.

Huwag gawing dahilan ang pagtitipid, administratibong kaginhawaan, o diumano'y reporma upang ipagkait ang karapatang bumoto. Kung tunay na hangad ng pamahalaan ang mabuting pamamahala, unahin nitong wakasan ang korapsyon, itigil ang paglustay sa pondo ng bayan, at itama ang prayoridad sa badyet, hindi ang paulit-ulit na pagpapalawig ng mga mandatong matagal nang dapat humarap sa pasya ng taumbayan.

Nananawagan ang Akbayan Youth sa Kongreso na ibasura ang lahat ng panukalang magpapalawig sa termino ng mga opisyal ng barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan at tiyaking maisasagawa ang 2026 BSKE sa itinakdang panahon. Hindi maaaring isakripisyo ang demokrasya para sa kaginhawaan ng mga nasa kapangyarihan. Ang boto ng kabataan ay hindi maaaring ipagpaliban. Ang demokrasya ay hindi maaaring iurong.

𝐃𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐥 𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐡𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐢𝐭 𝐧𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐚, isang produktibong pagdadayalogo ang naganap sa pagitan ng 𝙋𝙐𝙈𝘼𝙎𝘼𝙂-𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙯𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙩 𝘼𝙠𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣! 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙂𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙘𝙖 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧.

Dahil marami sa aming mga kasamang kabataan ay mula mismo sa sektor ng pangisdaan, bitbit namin ang panawagan para sa sapat na suporta, proteksyon ng ating katubigan, at dangal para sa bawat mangingisdang Gumaqueño.

Layunin ng ugnayang ito na:

1️⃣ 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐲𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬.

Inaanyayahan po namin ang ating mga kababayan na makiisa sa gagawing MARTSA PARA SA LIGTAS AT MAAYOS NA KALSADA sa darating na MARCH 4, 2026

Layunin po nitong maiparating ang mga hinaing ng ating mga kababayan at maipakita ang pwersa ng nagkakaisang tinig ng taong bayan patungkol kondisyon ating mga lansangan.

Magsisimula po ito sa ating KATEDRAL sa ika-8 ng umaga at magkakaroon ng martsa hanggang sa bahagi ng Gumaca City Coast.

Kasunod po nito ay sama-samang magtutungo sa 4th District Engineering Office ng DPWH sa Brgy. Panikihan at magdaraos ng isang programa.

Ngayong buwan ng mga puso, inilulunsad natin ang SAY YES campaign para ipasa na ang Anti-Dynasty Bill (ADB), o ang House Bill 5905 at Senate Bill 1548.

Tinatawagan namin ang mga youth orgs, student councils, SK councils, at influencers para maging kabahagi sa ating panliligaw sa mga mambabatas para mag-SAY YES sa ADB hanggang fourth degree of consanguinity.

Bilang itinuturing pag-asa ng bayan, samahan niyo kami para ipaglaban ang ating espasyo sa pamamahala at maipakita na ang serbisyo ay mula sa puso, hindi sa apilyedo.

Habang nasa gitna ng matinding kalamidad ang mga Pilipino dulot ng bagyong Basyang, abala si Sara Duterte sa paglilinis ng sariling pangalan. Ang kanyang tugon sa impeachment complaint na inendorso ng Akbayan ay hindi pagharap sa pananagutan—ito ay isang malinaw na duwag na pag-iwas sa katotohanan.

The Vice President, rattled and in full panic mode, scrambled to air her tantrums to a public simply searching for the truth, only to claim the impeachment complaint “has no evidence.” The real abuse of power is hers—evading accountability, hiding behind theatrics, and treating the people’s demand for justice as a personal attack. Cowardice will never silence truth.

This performance is a page taken straight from the playbook of foreign aggressors: framing lies as drama and seeking public sympathy by labeling ordinary Filipinos as agents of "political abuse."

Sinong niloloko niya? There is no harassment in asking where the people's money went; there is only the cold, hard reality of her refusal to answer.

The noise coming from her office is nothing but the echoes of fear. No amount of rehearsed indignation can cover the fact that she is running away from a constitutional process. We challenge you: face the youth’s call for accountability.

Do not hide behind political bravados and high-production diversions. If you are truly for the people, stop the drama and face the impeachment.

GUMACA, QUEZON — Akbayan! Youth Gumaca Chapter successfully convened its first-ever Orientation Seminar and Core Members General Assembly on December 14, 2025, marking a significant milestone for progressive youth organizing in the municipality.

✊️​Building a Strong Foundation

​The joint event served as a crucial step in formalizing the chapter and strengthening its foundation. The Orientation Seminar provided new members with an in-depth understanding of Akbayan!'s history, core principles of social democracy, and the chapter's immediate advocacy agenda. ​Following the orientation, the General Assembly allowed core members to ratify their commitment, define organizational structures, and strategize for upcoming campaigns focused on local youth participation, human rights, and good governance. The successful launch highlights the commitment of Gumaca's youth to move beyond simple involvement and toward genuine political action and principle-based activism. The chapter is now officially energized and prepared to champion the concerns of the local youth sector.
