As part of our Lecture Program in Environmental Science and Coastal Resource Management (CRM), students visited the mangrove area of Bungtod this morning for a mangrove tour and species identification activity.
The field experience introduced students to the different mangrove species and their ecological importance in coastal protection, biodiversity conservation, and fisheries sustainability. Through firsthand observation, students gained a deeper appreciation of the vital role mangroves play in maintaining healthy coastal ecosystems.
Learning comes alive when lessons meet the environment. 💚📚
