Mga Sipi mula sa Makabuluhang Panayam ni Sem. Kervey Villafuerte Naguiat sa ating Parochial Celebration of the Festival of Mercy 2026

Forgiven much, loves much.
Patuloy tayong maglakbay sa awa at pag-ibig ng Diyos.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪 | 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Right now, we are gathered as one, each of us carrying something within, yet choosing to come and encounter God’s mercy together. A total of 57 participants are present, reflecting the community’s shared desire to experience His grace. As we reflect on Luke 7:36–50, we are reminded that no matter how heavy our past may feel, His love meets us where we are. “Forgiven Much, Loves Much” is not just a theme, it’s something we are living in this very moment.

As we listen, reflect, and pray, may we allow this experience to truly touch our hearts. With the guidance of Sem. Kervey Villafuerte Naguiat, we are invited not only to receive God’s mercy, but to share it with others in our own simple ways. God is here, moving quietly in every heart, come and be part of this grace.

There are moments in life when we carry silent burdens, when guilt, regret, and brokenness weigh heavily on our hearts—and yet, in those very moments, God’s mercy reaches us the most.

The Parish Youth Ministry – Guimba warmly invites you to the 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, a sacred gathering where we are reminded that no sin is greater than His love, and no past is beyond His forgiveness. Inspired by the Gospel in 𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝟕:𝟑𝟔–𝟓𝟎—where a sinful woman washed the feet of Jesus with her tears and wiped them with her hair, and in return encountered not condemnation but mercy—we are called to reflect on the theme “𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙈𝙪𝙘𝙝, 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙈𝙪𝙘𝙝.”

Join us this 𝘼𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙡 𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮), 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝘼𝙈 𝙖𝙩 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐇 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋, as we come together as one community of faith, seeking not only to receive mercy but to become instruments of it for others. We are also blessed to have our guest seminarian in our parish, 𝐒𝐞𝐦. 𝐊𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐟𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐚𝐭 (3rd Year Theology, San Carlos Seminary), who will serve as our speaker and guide us deeper into understanding the beauty of God’s boundless love and mercy.

Come as you are—with your wounds, your doubts, your story—and allow God to transform them into a testimony of His mercy.

Be part of this encounter. Be part of this grace. Be part of the Festival of Mercy.

𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙'𝙨 𝙫𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧!

Give them more than just fun—give them a foundation of faith, values, and love for God through our 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

📅 Dates: May 09, 16, & 23, 2026
⏰ Time: 3:00 PM
👧👦 Open for ages: 7–10 years old
📍 Registration: Parish Office

📝 Note: On May 23, 2026, all participants are required to attend the anticipated Mass at 5:00 PM.

As Jesus lovingly reminds us in Matthew 19:14, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” This verse is a beautiful invitation and a mission for us—to guide children closer to Christ. Through basic catechism, they begin to understand who God is, learn how to pray, and grow in faith at an early age—forming a strong spiritual foundation that will guide them throughout their lives.

Come and be part of this event for your child.

Today, on Divine Mercy Sunday—celebrated on the Second Sunday of Easter—the Church recalls the extraordinary message of mercy revealed by Jesus to Saint Faustina Kowalska in the 1930s. Through her visions, Christ asked that this feast be established to remind the world of His infinite mercy, symbolized in the image of the Divine Mercy where rays of red and pale light flow from His Heart. This devotion was later officially instituted by Pope John Paul II in the year 2000, offering to the faithful a special invitation to trust in God’s mercy and to receive His grace through confession, the Eucharist, and sincere prayer.

In a world often burdened by doubt, sin, and uncertainty, Divine Mercy Sunday gently calls us back to the Heart of Jesus. It reminds us that no sin is greater than His mercy, and no soul is beyond His love. Today, we are invited not only to receive mercy, but to become instruments of it—to forgive, to understand, and to love as Christ loves. As we gaze upon His merciful image, may our hearts echo the simple yet powerful prayer: Jesus, I trust in You.

At 6:00 AM today, the community gathered for a Prayer Vigil for Reconciliation and Peace, beginning with the Holy Mass, followed by the Holy Hour—where we encountered Jesus, the Risen Lord, in the Eucharist and the Blessed Sacrament—and the prayer of the Holy Rosary, entrusting our intentions to our Blessed Mother Mary, Queen of Peace. All parts of this sacred gathering were led by Rev. Fr. Josix Darwin Tolentino, our parish priest.

In the stillness of the morning, we carried not only our personal intentions, but the cries of nations and the weight of a world longing for peace—especially for Israel, the United States, and the countries across the Middle East. We prayed that hearts may be softened, and that leaders may be guided by wisdom, humility, and a sincere desire for the common good—that they may choose dialogue over destruction, justice over power, and peace over war. And as we knelt in prayer, we were reminded that true peace does not begin in agreements alone, but in hearts surrendered to God, where compassion is formed and where the courage to seek peace quietly begins.
