In a season where love is constantly displayed, discussed, and expected, many are quietly questioning what love really looks like when emotions fade, expectations are unmet, and relationships feel complicated. During the GAAFC Quarterly Fellowship, we were brought back to a truth that steadies the heart — a love that does not shift with trends, moods, or circumstances.

Love does not start with our ability to feel or express it well. Scripture reminds us that love begins with God Himself. Love is not something He occasionally gives; it is who He is. When our understanding of love is shaped by the world, it becomes fragile and inconsistent. But when it is rooted in God, love becomes firm, faithful, and true. Knowing God allows us to see love not as something temporary, but as something grounded in His unchanging nature.

𝐈𝐈. 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝

It is easy to measure our worth by how others treat us — by attention, affirmation, or presence. Yet God’s love does not depend on our performance or our ability to be “enough.” Even in moments of doubt, failure, or weariness, His love remains. The cross stands as an unchanging reminder that we are seen, chosen, and loved, not because we earned it, but because grace reached us first. This truth speaks especially to hearts that feel overlooked or unsure in this season.

𝐈𝐈𝐈. 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞

Being loved by God carries responsibility. To dwell in Him means allowing His love to shape how we respond, forgive, and care for others — especially when it is difficult. Living in love means choosing grace over pride, patience over anger, and faithfulness over convenience. Love becomes visible not in perfect moments, but in everyday decisions to reflect Christ.

In a world where love can feel uncertain and fleeting, we were reminded of a love that remains. AGAPE is a love that holds, heals, and transforms — not just how we feel, but how we live.

𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝒀𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒂𝒏! 🎉🎂

As you step into another year, we pray that God continues to shape your heart, strengthen your faith, and guide your actions in ways that honor Him. Growing isn’t just about age, but about choosing what is right even in small moments. May this year be a season where you grow more faithful, more disciplined, and more mindful of the kind of example you set. We believe God has placed good things ahead of you, and walking closely with Him will help you become the best version of yourself.

“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”
— 1 Corinthians 4:2, KJV

Happy Birthday, Yan! May this year be marked by growth, faithfulness, and wisdom.

February is known as the love month — flowers, chocolates, sweet messages, and all the kilig in between. But last Youth Hour, we were asked something deeper: 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒘𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕?

Pastor Agustin Prudente Jr. reminded us that before we ever learned how to love, God already did. Because God is love, and His love was not just spoken, it was shown. The cross is proof that real love gives — and it gives sacrificially.

𝐈. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐆𝐨𝐝

Love does not begin with us. It does not start with feelings, attraction, or what we receive from others. “For love is of God.” Every genuine expression of love traces back to Him. When we love rightly, it is because we have first been touched by the One who is its origin. Even our capacity to love is evidence that we were created by a loving God.

𝐈𝐈. 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐈𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞

God is not merely loving — He is love in His very nature. Love is not something He turns on and off depending on the situation. It flows from who He is. His commands are rooted in love. His correction is guided by love. His patience with us is sustained by love. While the world measures love by emotion or benefit, God defines it by character — holy, faithful, unwavering. To love God first is to anchor our hearts to the very definition of what love truly is.

𝐈𝐈𝐈. 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞

Love shows its true worth in what it is willing to give, and God gave the greatest gift of all — His only begotten Son. The cross is not just a symbol; it is the clearest and final declaration of God’s love for humanity. Christ’s death for sinners stands as the greatest proof that love is not merely words, but sacrifice. When we love God first, we respond to a love that has already been proven beyond doubt.

In a season where love is often measured by what we receive, we were reminded that the true value of love lies in what it is willing to give. And no love has ever given more than this — that Jesus Christ laid down His life for sinners.

Only Jesus can love beyond expectations, beyond flaws, beyond what this world defines as “enough.”

Real love begins when we love the One who loved us first.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8, KJV

𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝑬𝒊𝒐𝒏! 🎉🎂

You’ve always had a way of diving into your hobbies with focus and enjoyment, giving your time and energy to the things you love. There’s something good about that — the discipline to develop your interests and the joy you find in doing them well. As you celebrate another year, we pray that God continues to shape your passions, guide your steps, and use your gifts for something greater than you imagine. May the things you enjoy also become tools that build character, perseverance, and faith in your life.

“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”
— Proverbs 16:3, KJV

Happy Birthday, Eion. Keep growing, keep learning, and keep placing every passion in God’s hands.

We give thanks to God for your life and for the way He has called you to serve His people, especially through your faithful ministry as our weekend pastor. Your commitment to preaching the Word, shepherding with care, and serving with humility has been a blessing to our church.
