We provide temporary shelter and ensure they receive proper medical, emotional, and spiritual care. Everlasting HOPE Cebu is a non-government organization registered and licensed to operate as a social welfare agency with the Department of Social Welfare and Development. We support children with cancer coming from Cebu, Philippines and nearby Provinces. Our primary focus is to help these children

and their families through providing 1) access to medical resources, 2) emotional and spiritual care, and 3) a home away from home through temporary shelter for the child and family while receiving medical care in Cebu. We advocate for children and families through providing access to medical resources and connection to various agencies, organizations, and medical teams. We provide much needed emotional and spiritual care in addition to bringing the support of the community around the family. Fresh Lettuce from Philip's Garden! πŸ₯¬

Earlier this year, our residential parents started a simple hydroponics project. On June 13, they harvested a new batch of lettuce and sold it to our visitors for the first time.

More lettuce will be ready for harvest this week. Let us know if you'd like to buy fresh lettuce straight from Philip's Garden.

For nearly two years, Mikko has been bravely fighting hepatoblastoma. He was diagnosed on June 20, 2024, when he was just 1 year and 2 months old. Since then, he has undergone six cycles of chemotherapy followed by surgery. Today, he remains under monitoring, and by God’s grace, his results continue to be favorable. πŸ™

Like many families facing childhood cancer, Mikko’s family has endured not only the challenges of treatment but also the financial burden that comes with it. As a result, opportunities to spend quality time together as a family became rare.

On May 18, 2026, Mikko’s wish came true through our Grant-A-Wish Program, sponsored by Avant Healthcare Professionals.

For the first time, they were able to go out together as a complete family. After nearly two years of treatments and hospital visits, they were given the opportunity to simply enjoy being together and create precious memories.

As Mikko spent the day running, playing, and laughing with his siblings, his family was able to set aside their worries and enjoy a special day together.

The children were filled with excitement as they exchanged their gold coins for treasures at our DVBS Treasure Hunt Booth. Beyond the fun, they also learned the joy of sharing by giving some of their coins and prizes to others.

A special thank you to Mommy Janie and Babies for the stuffed animals that brought so much joy to the children, and to our local donors whose generosity filled the booth with treasures for them to enjoy. Thank you for making their DVBS experience even more fun and meaningful! ✨️

On May 29, we celebrated the culmination of this year's Daily Vacation Bible School, Treasure Hunt: Seeking the Riches of Christ, with 47 participants, including children battling cancer, their siblings, and the children of our beloved team.

It was a joyful day as we celebrated all that the children had learned and experienced throughout the week. It was also heartwarming to watch them cheer for one another and celebrate each other's accomplishments.

More than anything else, our greatest joy was seeing the children and parents come to know Jesus and place their trust in Him. We praise God for the work He has done in their hearts, and we pray that they will continue to grow in their faith.

Even before the week ended, several children were already looking forward to next year's DVBS. Their excitement showed just how much they enjoyed being part of it.

We thank God for a wonderful DVBS and for everyone who helped make it possible. To God be all the glory, honor, and praise! πŸ™Œ
