On August 22, we gathered at Golden Peak Hotel for Everlasting Hope’s 10th Anniversary Charity Dinner, celebrating a decade of hope, service, and God’s faithfulness.

It was a meaningful evening filled with shared stories, heartfelt testimonies, laughter, and gratitude. Together with our children and families, volunteers, donors, partners, and friends, we looked back on how God has sustained this mission and used so many people to walk alongside us in supporting children with cancer and their families.

For ten years, we have been blessed with a community that believes no child should face cancer alone. To everyone who has served, given, prayed, partnered, and walked this journey with us, thank you for being part of these ten years of hope.

As we look ahead, we do so with grateful hearts, trusting God to continue His work through this mission and to lead us as we bring hope to more children and families battling childhood cancer.

10 years of service.
10 years of partnership.
10 years of hope.
By God’s grace, the journey continues.

Walking alongside families through loss and grief is also part of our mission.

Throughout August, we grieved the loss of four children who were part of the Everlasting Hope family: Marcus, Kim, Zairenz, and Mark.

Our team held bereavement services with Marcus’s family in Cebu City and Zairenz’s family in Aloguinsan, taking time to remember their lives, pray with their loved ones, and offer comfort as they grieved. We also reached out to Kim’s and Mark’s families in Mindanao and extended our support during this difficult time.

Our journey with families is not only about celebrating birthdays, granting wishes, and creating joyful experiences. It is also about caring for them and supporting them through loss and grief.

As we remember Marcus, Kim, Zairenz, and Mark, please continue to keep their families in your prayers.

A wish come true for Midori! ✨️🐧

Nine-year-old Midori was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in September 2021. After years of treatment and hospital visits, she completed her chemotherapy in September 2024 and is now under monitoring.

As she reached this milestone, Midori had a special wish: to visit Cebu Ocean Park.

On August 12, her wish came true through Everlasting Hope’s Grant-A-Wish Program. Together with her family, she spent the day exploring the park and seeing different animals. Among them, the penguins quickly became her favorite.

For her parents, seeing Midori happy made the experience even more meaningful. Her excitement continued even after they returned home to Carcar City, where she eagerly shared her experience with the children in their neighborhood.

We praise God for how far Midori has come and for the joy she and her family were able to share on this special day. Thank you to Dexter and Faith Solar for granting her wish and giving Midori a day to simply enjoy being a child and spend time with her family.

Every birthday is a gift worth celebrating. 🎂🎉

On August 10, we celebrated the lives of our August celebrants, Jaden Rey, Calix, and Jest Rylle, together with Dr. Katherine Basiga Dela Fuente of KBDF, a longtime supporter of Everlasting Hope.

It was also Doc Katherine’s birthday, and she chose to spend her special day with our children, fulfilling a promise she made last year. She made the celebration extra memorable with games, mascots, gifts, and many surprises for our children and families.

For a child going through cancer, a birthday is more than just another year added. It is a celebration of life, courage, and hope. This is why we treasure every opportunity to make our children feel loved, celebrated, and surrounded by people who care.

With grateful hearts, we dedicated our newly improved spaces to God. 🙏

On August 5, Everlasting Hope held a thanksgiving and dedication service for our newly renovated areas and two additional family rooms.

Together, we prayed over these spaces and the families who will use them, asking God to make our shelter a place of comfort, rest, and hope throughout their treatment journey.

We praise God for His provision and for the people He has used to make these improvements possible. 🙌

Thank you to Dr. Kier Anthony Bajamonde and Ma’am Clareth Patis Lauron-Bajamonde of BANG Smile Doctor Dental Clinic, together with Miss Arlene Suico Villaver, representing HRSP Batch 77 of Holy Rosary School of Pardo, for donating a prefabricated container with two rooms.

With these two additional family rooms, our shelter can now comfortably accommodate up to 25 families who need a place to stay while their children undergo treatment in Cebu City.

We also thank BANG Smile for adding colorful murals to the rooms, beautifully created by Sir Jayson Droña and his team. This made the spaces brighter and more welcoming for the families who will stay there.

Through the generous support of Fujitsu, important areas in our shelter were renovated. Their financial donation helped improve our storage rooms, laundry area, and bathrooms, making these spaces cleaner, more functional, and more comfortable for our residents.

We are grateful to FUJITSU for helping us provide a better environment for children with cancer and their families who stay with us while undergoing treatment in Cebu City.

As we continue our mission, we rely on the generosity of people who believe in the work we do.
