CSUโ€™ans, please be guided accordingly. In light of the increasing heat conditions, students may opt to wear alternative attire, provided that these remain compliant with the provisions outlined in the Student Manual.

We remind everyone that while flexibility is granted, adherence to the Student Manual must still be observed. Croptops, ripped jeans, skirts above the knee, skirts with long slits, and sleeveless tops remain strictly prohibited.

This initiative was formally requested by the Office of the Student Regent and was duly approved by both the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) and the Office of the University President.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the VPAA and the OIC President for their approval and support in prioritizing the welfare and comfort of CSUans amid the extreme heat.

CSUโ€™ans, please be guided accordingly. In reference to the approved request for a Wellness Break in observance of the Holy Week, as duly signed and approved by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) and the Office of the OIC University President, we would like to clarify and reiterate that classes on April 1, 2026 (whole day) are suspended. This includes all synchronous and asynchronous classes, as well as any academic activities, assessments, or requirements.

We have received reports that some classes were still conducted and deadlines were assigned. After a direct conversation with the OIC University President, it was clarified that the allowance for the conduct of classes on this day was not stated in the memorandum, and that such interpretation may have stemmed from a misunderstanding of the work arrangement issued for April 1, 2026. There is no conflict between the approved wellness break and the said memorandum.

In line with this, we respectfully reiterate that no classes or academic requirements should have been conducted or assigned today. Furthermore, all deadlines for academic requirements scheduled within this period should be moved to a later date after the Holy Week to ensure that students are able to fully benefit from the intended purpose of the wellness break.

We kindly ask everyone to please abide by the memorandum issued by the Office of the University President and the approved request for Wellness break/Holy week observance

CSUans, transparency and accountability remain at the core of student representation in the Board of Regents of Cagayan State University. From the start of the term of Student Regent Kyle Aron Tomas Tan on August 8, 2025 up to the present, the Office of the Student Regent has maintained 100% attendance in all Regular Board Meetings and Expanded Finance Committee meetings.

These meetings serve as crucial platforms where policies, financial matters, and institutional directions of the university are discussed and decided. Through active participation in these sessions, the Office of the Student Regent ensures that the voice and welfare of CSU students across the nine campuses are consistently represented and advocated at the highest decision-making body of the university.

Alongside this perfect attendance record, the Office continues to actively contribute to discussions and policy-making by presenting resolutions and endorsing key matters for the welfare, development, and support of the student body.

The Office of the Student Regent remains steadfast in its commitment to responsible representation, transparency, and meaningful participation in university governance for every CSUan.

CSUans, one of the key student matters presented, proposed, and defended by Student Regent Kyle Aron T. Tan during the 99th Regular Board Meeting on January 13, 2026, at the HEDC Building, Quezon City, was the resolution entitled โ€œAPPROVING THE INSTITUTIONALIZATION OF THE PUBLICATION OF BOARD-APPROVED RESOLUTIONS FOR THE INFORMATION OF THE UNIVERSITY STAKEHOLDERS,โ€ authored by Federation Representative Julius Ceazar F. Balayan

This resolution was approved to strengthen transparency and institutional accountability within the university system. It ensures the continuous publication of board-approved resolutions for the information of university stakeholders, allowing students, faculty, personnel, and other members of the CSU community to remain properly informed of decisions made by the Board of Regents.

Moreover, the institutionalization of this practice guarantees that the posting and dissemination of these resolutions will continue regardless of changes in leadership or the conclusion of the term of the current Student Regent.

The Office of the CSU Student Regent remains committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance for the benefit of the entire CSU community.

CSUans, one of the key student matters presented, proposed, and defended by Student Regent Kyle Aron T. Tan during the 98th Regular Board Meeting on November 20, 2025, at the HEDC Building, Quezon City, was the resolution entitled โ€œAPPROVING THE PROPOSED INCREASE IN STUDENT AIDE HOURLY WAGE ACROSS ALL CAMPUSES OF CSU FROM 30.00 PESOS TO 60.00 PESOS, 100% INCREASE ACROSS ALL CAMPUSES OF CSU,โ€ authored by Federation Representative Julius Ceazar F. Balayan

This resolution was approved in response to the continuing rise in the prices of basic and necessary goods, ensuring that student aides receive fair and just compensation for their work. The previous wage rate had remained unchanged since 2017, making this increase both timely and necessary. By doubling the hourly rate, the CSU system aims not only to ease the financial burden of working students but also to better incentivize their dedication, service, and contribution to the university community.

The Office of the CSU Student Regent remains committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance for the benefit of the entire CSU community.
