Together, let us reflect on how we, as Christians, can navigate the digital age with discernment—learning how to recognize truth, guard our hearts, and keep our faith anchored in the One who is truly omniscient.

This is not only a conversation about technology but also a reminder that in a world seeking unlimited knowledge, we must continue seeking the wisdom that comes from above.

Text: 1 Samuel 18

Tonight reminded us that 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆. Sometimes, our greatest act of faith is learning to celebrate what God is doing in someone else’s life, even when it is the very thing we once hoped for ourselves.

Jonathan had every reason to fight for the throne. By birth, by tradition, and by human standards, the crown belonged to him. Yet when he saw God’s hand upon David, he chose surrender over selfish ambition, loyalty over jealousy, and obedience over entitlement.

As we reflect on his life, we realize that 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀; 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗴𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻. The deepest faith is often seen not in what we gain, but in what we are willing to release into God’s hands.

In a world that constantly pushes us to compete, compare, and always be first, Jonathan’s story teaches us a different kind of greatness:
➤ to honor God’s timing
➤ to support the calling of others, and
➤ to remain faithful even when we are not the one receiving the spotlight

May we have the heart of Jonathan—a heart that says that even if we are not the center of this story, we will still rejoice in His will. We will trust that His plans for us are good, and we will celebrate the victories of others without bitterness, knowing that what He has prepared for us can never be taken away by someone else’s blessing.

Because in God’s kingdom:
➤ faithfulness > fame
➤ character > crowns
➤ obedience > recognition

Last Saturday’s devotion gently reminded us of a timeless truth found in Isaiah 41:4: 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿. In a world where circumstances constantly change and seasons come and go, we serve a God whose character remains unwavering and whose faithfulness never fades.

Whether we find ourselves standing on mountaintops of victory, walking through valleys of hardship, navigating seasons of uncertainty, or patiently waiting for God’s promises to unfold, one truth remains constant: 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀. His presence does NOT depend on our circumstances, nor is it diminished by our struggles. He walks beside us through every chapter of our lives.

There are moments when we cannot clearly see His hand at work. There are seasons when heaven seems silent and our prayers appear unanswered. Yet 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. The God who created the stars is still working behind the scenes, orchestrating every detail according to His perfect will. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗺 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝘂𝘀. In every tear we shed, every prayer we whisper, every burden we carry, and every battle we face, He remains faithfully present.

What a comforting reminder it is that God never lacks anything that His children need. His grace is sufficient. His mercy is abundant. His strength never runs dry. His love never fails. While we may sometimes focus on what appears missing in our lives, God continually supplies us with enough grace to endure, enough strength to persevere, and enough hope to keep moving forward.

Perhaps today’s greatest encouragement is this: we are never alone, and we are never forgotten. The same God who was faithful in the past remains faithful today and will continue to be faithful in the days ahead. Our seasons may change, but our Savior never does.

As we approach the closing pages of the year 2025, we gather not just to celebrate a season—but to remember a faithful God. 🎄🤍

We look back and see His unmistakable hand: in the prayers He answered, the lessons He taught, the tears He caught, and the joy He allowed us to experience. Truly, every season has been held together by His faithfulness.

Every note you sing carries sincerity, humility, and a heart fully surrendered to the One who gave you that gift in the first place.
