𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮 𝗡𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 🩺💙

Every great nurse begins with a single decision—to learn, to serve, and to make a difference. Today, another meaningful chapter unfolded as the Glan Institute of Technology – College of Nursing officially welcomed its First Year and Second Year Bachelor of Science in Nursing students through the Academic Orientation for Academic Year 2026–2027.

The orientation commenced with an inspiring welcome from 𝗠𝗿. 𝗭𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗘. 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘀, 𝗠𝗡, 𝗥𝗡, Dean of the College of Nursing, who introduced the College's faculty members, presented an overview of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, and emphasized the values, professionalism, and commitment expected of every future GIT nurse. Discussions on nursing uniform and grooming standards likewise reinforced the importance of discipline and professional identity from the very beginning of the students' journey.

Institutional policies, academic regulations, and the Student Code of Conduct were discussed by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗛𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗟. 𝗟𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗝𝗿., 𝗣𝗵𝗗. 𝗘𝗱., Vice President for Academic Affairs, providing students with a clear understanding of their responsibilities as members of the academic community.

To foster camaraderie and create a welcoming atmosphere, interactive activities were facilitated with the assistance of the Philippine Nursing Students' Association – GIT Chapter (PNSA–GIT), allowing both first-year and sophomore nursing students to connect, engage, and begin building meaningful relationships within the College of Nursing community.

The program concluded with heartfelt closing remarks delivered by Ms. Jona Ann W. Langahid, MAN, RN, who encouraged the students to embrace every opportunity to learn, remain steadfast in their purpose, and pursue excellence with compassion and integrity. The event ended on a memorable note with a photo opportunity for each nursing year level, capturing the beginning of another academic journey filled with hope, aspirations, and shared purpose.

As another academic year officially begins, the GIT College of Nursing continues to nurture not only knowledgeable student nurses but also future healthcare professionals who will lead with competence, compassion, and service.

Every meaningful journey begins with a single step—and for the newest members of the 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 – 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, that journey officially began yesterday.

On 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the incoming First Year Bachelor of Science in Nursing students gathered for a Mini Orientation spearheaded by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗭𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗘. 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘀, 𝗥𝗡, 𝗠𝗡, Dean of the College of Nursing, together with the officers of the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗚𝗜𝗧 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗣𝗡𝗦𝗔–𝗚𝗜𝗧).

The orientation served as an opportunity to warmly welcome the newest future nurses into the growing GIT Nursing family while introducing them to the values, culture, opportunities, and student leadership that await them throughout their academic journey. More than an orientation, it was the beginning of meaningful connections, shared aspirations, and a collective commitment to excellence, compassion, professionalism, and service.

As the pioneering batch now welcomes the next generation of student nurses, PNSA–GIT remains steadfast in its mission of fostering leadership, unity, and academic excellence—creating an environment where every student is empowered to grow, lead, and serve.

The gathering concluded with a photo opportunity, capturing smiles, excitement, and the beginning of new friendships that will one day become lifelong professional bonds.

To our incoming first-year nursing students, welcome home. Your journey will not always be easy, but it will always be worthwhile. As you take your first steps into the noble profession of nursing, know that you are now part of a community that believes in your potential and will walk beside you every step of the way.
