The Sereia Merfolk community represents a breathtaking gathering of the Philippines' most enchanting mefolks, converging from every corner of the archipelago to the heart of the Visayas.

Sereia is more than a collective, we are a living mosaic of regional identities. As we gather at Cebu Ocean Park for International Mermaid Day Celebration, the shimmer of our scales reflects the diverse waters they call home from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Bound by a shared devotion to marine conservation and the ancient folklore of our 7,641 islands, the Sereia community proves that while the seas may divide our lands, it is the very thing that flows through our veins and connects our souls.

Q: Is it open to the public?
A: Yes, everyone is welcome to join. There is just a 50-peso registration fee for non-Bagakeños. This is waived if you are one of of our art contest participants, or when you buy a shirt from our merchandise booth. (Please note that this is the only day in the year that we collect fees to help raise funds for our operations. It is free to visit the hatchery on other days of the year.)
