IN FOCUS | YES-O Leads Coastal Clean-Up and Community Clean-Up Drive

In support of the Asynchronous International Clean-Up Drive 2025, the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) spearheaded a Coastal Clean-Up and Community Clean-Up Drive on September 19, 2025. The activity, held at the designated coastal and community areas of Poblacion, was actively participated in by partner agencies and groups including the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) Poblacion, PTA officials, YES-O officers, and SSLG learners, demonstrating a strong spirit of collaboration for environmental protection and community cleanliness.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲: 𝗬𝗘𝗦-𝗢 𝘅 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗡𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗗𝗨𝗚𝗢𝗡𝗚! 🌊🤝

Today, September 19, 2025, the GSAT YES-O Club proudly teamed up with Team Nautica from Project DUGONG (Developing Urgent Guidance for Ocean Navigating Generations) to take part in the National Clean-Up Campaign together with the Environment Management Bureau, Region XII.

In early afternoon, we kicked things off with a barangay clean-up drive, showing that change begins in our own communities.

Later that day, our efforts reached the shores as we joined the Coastal Clean-Up Drive at Virgin Island towards Logpond, Poblacion, Glan, Sarangani—alongside the Glan Coast Guard, PNP, BFP, DMII, GSAT PTA, Science teachers, students, and YES-O officers.

It was truly a day of unity, responsibility, and action. Because when communities and organizations come together, we don’t just clean spaces—we protect futures! 🌍💚

On August 12, 2025, students from all levels came together once again for another impactful Clean-Up Drive. With teamwork and dedication, we worked hand in hand to keep our school environment fresh, healthy, and ready for learning!

𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀, 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 ✨

Today, Tradeans from different grade levels joined forces to sweep, scrub, and shine our school surroundings in a meaningful Clean-Up Drive—all in preparation for the much-awaited Intramurals 2025!

Big thanks to all the students and teachers who lent a hand (and a heart) today. The spirit of Intramurals starts not with the games, but with the unity we show even before the first whistle blow! 🫶🏼✨

Today, we gathered as one purpose-driven organization for our YES-O meeting and election of new officers for S.Y. 2025–2026. With hearts ready to serve and voices that speak for the Earth, our members helped shape the next generation of young environmental leaders.

This isn't just about titles, it's about commitment, action, and the shared goal of protecting and nurturing our environment.

Together, we grow. Together, we lead. Together, we say YES to the environment. 💚
