AVES Civil Society Organization Inc. Celebrates 9 Years of Service, Leadership, and Community Empowerment

AVES Civil Society Organization Inc. (AVES CSOI) proudly celebrated its 9th Founding Anniversary at Hardin ng Postema Resort, Tanza, Cavite, marking nearly a decade of dedicated service, community engagement, and social impact last May 30, 2026 (Saturday).

The celebration served as a special occasion to recognize and honor the leaders, members, volunteers, and partners whose unwavering commitment, passion, and hard work have contributed to the growth and success of the organization throughout the years.

One of the highlights of the anniversary program was the recognition of individuals who have remained steadfast in their support and leadership, helping AVES CSOI fulfill its mission of empowering communities and promoting sustainable development. Their dedication has played a vital role in strengthening the organization's programs and expanding its reach to various sectors of society.

The event also featured an organizational update, where ongoing initiatives, programs, and projects were presented. Participants were given an overview of the organization's accomplishments, current engagements, and future directions in the areas of youth empowerment, community development, public health advocacy, capacity building, and social welfare.

As AVES CSOI celebrates this important milestone, the organization reaffirms its commitment to serving communities, building partnerships, and creating meaningful opportunities that inspire positive change.

AVES CSOI, Imus CSWDO, and Partner NGOs Conduct Project SINAG Movement for Imus 4Ps Youth

AVES Civil Society Organization Inc. (AVES CSOI), in collaboration with the Imus City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and various non-government organizations (NGOs) in the City of Imus, successfully conducted and facilitated the Project SINAG Movement for the youth beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) at the Imus Cooperative Livelihood Training Center last May 28, 2026.

The activity gathered young 4Ps beneficiaries for a day of learning, empowerment, and personal development through the program entitled “Purpose-Driven Life: A Guide for Youth Empowerment and Career Readiness.”

The initiative aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills that will help them become more confident, responsible, and prepared for future opportunities. Through interactive discussions, leadership-building activities, and career readiness sessions, the participants were encouraged to discover their purpose, develop their potential, and actively contribute to their communities.

Project SINAG serves as a platform for empowering young people by strengthening their leadership capabilities, promoting community involvement, and encouraging positive life choices. The activity also highlighted the importance of collaboration among government agencies, civil society organizations, and community partners in creating meaningful opportunities for the youth.

AVES CSOI extends its sincere gratitude to the Imus CSWDO, partner NGOs, volunteers, sponsors, and all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the event. Together, we continue to invest in the next generation of leaders and changemakers.

AVES CSOI Joins the International Candlelight Memorial 2026 in Bacoor City

AVES Civil Society Organization Inc. (AVES CSOI) proudly participated in the International Candlelight Memorial 2026 organized by the Bacoor Social Hygiene Clinic, held at Queensrow Central, City of Bacoor, Cavite last May 24, 2026.

With the theme, "Light the Legacy: Remember, Advance, Act, Keeping the Light Alive," the event brought together advocates, community organizations, government agencies, healthcare workers, and individuals committed to raising awareness about HIV and AIDS while honoring the lives of those who have been affected by the epidemic.

The International Candlelight Memorial serves as a global movement of remembrance, solidarity, and hope. Through the ceremonial lighting of candles and various advocacy activities, participants paid tribute to those who have lost their lives to AIDS, celebrated the resilience of people living with HIV, and renewed their commitment to advancing education, prevention, treatment, and stigma reduction efforts.

As a strong advocate for public health, HIV awareness, and community empowerment, AVES CSOI joined fellow stakeholders in promoting a future where communities are informed, compassionate, and free from discrimination. The organization continues to support initiatives that encourage HIV prevention, early testing, treatment access, and the protection of human rights.

AVES CSOI and DSWD Formalize Partnership Through MOA Signing

AVES Civil Society Organization Inc. (AVES CSOI) marked another significant milestone as its Executive Director, Mr. Joseph Cua, President Prof. Ivan James Fermanejo, and Vice President Ms. Prudence Tabanag formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at the 4Ps Imus Office, Libertino Street, Imus City, Cavite last May 19, 2026.

The signing ceremony was conducted in the presence and support of the Imus City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), further strengthening collaboration between government agencies and civil society organizations in promoting community development and social welfare initiatives.

Following the MOA signing, AVES CSOI, DSWD, and Imus CSWDO also held a coordination meeting in preparation for the implementation of the Project SINAG Movement in the City of Imus. The discussion focused on strengthening partnerships, aligning objectives, and planning activities that will empower youth and communities through leadership development, community engagement, and capacity-building initiatives.

This partnership signifies a shared commitment to advancing programs and services that empower vulnerable sectors, enhance community participation, and create sustainable opportunities for individuals and families, particularly among beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

AVES CSOI remains dedicated to working hand in hand with government agencies and community stakeholders in delivering meaningful programs that foster empowerment, inclusivity, and positive social impact.

The AVES CSOI Participates in the 2nd Quarter Provincial Youth Development Council Meeting.

The AVES Civil Society Organization Inc. (AVES CSOI) actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Meeting of the Provincial Youth Development Council (PYDC) last May 7, 2026 via Zoom Meeting.

The meeting was led by the Cavite Provincial Sangguniang Kabataan President, BM Chelsea Sarno, together with PYDO Mr. Jay R. Belamide Rodil, gathered youth leaders, youth serving leaders, organizations, and stakeholders from across the province to discuss key youth development initiatives and collaborative programs.

Strengthening Youth Participation and Collaboration

The quarterly meeting served as a platform for discussing updates, plans, and strategies focused on enhancing youth participation, leadership, and community engagement throughout Cavite. Participants exchanged insights and explored opportunities for collaboration to further strengthen programs benefiting the youth sector.

Advancing Youth Development Initiatives

AVES CSOI’s participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting initiatives that promote youth empowerment, leadership development, and inclusive community engagement. Through active involvement in councils and development platforms such as the PYDC, the organization contributes to collective efforts in addressing the needs and aspirations of young people.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of partnership among youth organizations, local government units, and community stakeholders in building sustainable and impactful youth-centered programs across the province.
