INFORMATION:
The LPU Cavite CITHM Student Government is the principal student government that aims body to develop the students’ skills and competencies in new normal challenging tourism and hospitality industry. CITHM SG representing all the students at different courses (tourism, hotel management, culinary arts, cruise line operations, and nutrition and dietetics) in the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management. The College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management of the Lyceum of the Philippines University has been at the forefront in offering strong and solid background in tourism and hospitality. Wherein, it lives with up with the mission in providing a knowledgeable, skillful, and competitive student leaders, professionals, and entrepreneurs with proper training programs, seminars, and updates relevant to the constantly evolving trends and needs of the industry. Furthermore, the LPU Cavite CITHM – Student Government together with the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management continuously partnering and building strategic alliances locally and internationally. Strategic alliances are recognized organizations of tourism and hospitality industry which are part of the linkages that contributes to the development and growth among students, and young professionals. PURPOSE:
The purpose of LPU Cavite CITHM – Student Government shall be:
1. Provide assistance and a voice for student’s welfare, concerns, and queries that will serve as the bridge for easiest access to information among all CITHM organizations, university announcements, activities and to the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management.
2. Giving hands-on trainings by immersing the students in any university and departmental activities that are also relevant to their courses.
3. Setting up events such as seminars, and other student engagement activities that will develop the leadership skills, professionalism, talents, and camaraderie of the students.
4. Build strategic alliances by continuously partnering with different linkages inside and outside the university and;
5. Committed to the Lyceum of the Philippines University educational philosophy and values. VISION:
To be recognized as one of the leading student organizations in Lyceum of the Philippines University Cavite. With the purpose of being the voice of the student body, whilst creating a harmonic environment in the University. Honing student leaders that provide world class skills and imbued with the values of Former Philippine President Jose P. Continuously exemplifying in ‘Veritas et Fortitudo’ (truth and fortitude), ‘Pro Deo et Patria’ (for God and Country). MISSION:
To serve the interest of students and uphold academic freedom in pursuit of the goal of academic excellence in international tourism and hospitality education in the areas of tourism, hotel management, culinary arts, cruise line operations, and nutrition and dietetics. It is also student government’s mission to help the stakeholders of the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management understood and realize the importance of tourism and hospitality, and help them to hone their knowledge, skills, and talents that will serve as their competitive advantage in the future.
