🌱 National Disaster Resilience Month 2026 (NDRM 2026) 🌱

In celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month 2026 (NDRM 2026), the Philippine Red Cross Cavite Chapter – RC 143 General Trias Volunteers proudly joined the Tree Planting Activity RC 143 LUNTIAN: A Nationwide Tree Growing Initiative.
under the Climate Action through Nature-based Solutions Program
Theme:
"NAGHAHANDA at KUMIKILOS tungo sa PANATAG na BAGONG PILIPINAS."

On July 18, 2026, Saturday, our volunteers gathered at 5:00 AM at the Brgy. Hall in Ramirez, Magallanes, Cavite. The program officially began at 5:30 AM, leading the participants to Mt. Marami in Maragondon, Cavite, where the tree planting activity took place.

Protecting our environment means protecting lives.
More than serving as natural shields against storms, trees are essential to our daily survival and well-being. They help cool communities during extreme heat, filter rainwater to replenish clean groundwater and healthy watersheds, and provide habitats that support biodiversity, creating stronger and more resilient ecosystems.

Through this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to the Philippine Red Cross mission of building self-reliant, climate-resilient, and disaster-ready communities.

Together, let us protect our forests, strengthen our communities, and build a safer, more resilient Philippines.
