In the wake of the devastating earthquake that shook our communities, many families were still struggling to rebuild their lives when another tragedy struck. Parts of Sarangani Province were severely devastated by flash floods that swept away homes, livelihoods, and the hopes of countless families. Yet even in the darkest moments, compassion continues to shine.

On August 1, the GSC Kalilangan LIONS CLUB , in partnership with Makabayan Georgia, Inc. , traveled from General Santos City to Barangay Mudan, Glan, Sarangani Province with one mission—to bring hope, comfort, and relief to our brothers and sisters affected by this heartbreaking disaster.

Our relief operation began with a humble prayer, lifting every family into God's loving hands and thanking Him for His unwavering guidance, protection, and the strength to serve. Amid the pain, loss, and uncertainty, we witnessed something truly inspiring—the genuine smiles, heartfelt gratitude, and resilient spirit of the people we met. Their courage reminded us that while disasters may destroy homes and possessions, they can never break the strength of a community united by faith and kindness.

Every food pack shared, every helping hand extended, and every word of encouragement offered was a reminder that no one should face adversity alone. Service is not merely about giving; it is about standing beside those who need hope the most and reminding them that they are never forgotten.

Our deepest gratitude goes to the Local Government Unit of Barangay Mudan, Glan, Sarangani Province, for warmly welcoming us, ensuring our safety, and making it possible for us to reach and serve the affected families. Your support and dedication made this mission even more meaningful.

Together, we continue to prove that "Where There Is a Need, There Is a Lion." Through faith, compassion, and unity, we will continue to rise, rebuild, and restore hope—one act of kindness at a time.

During the preparation for the flash flood relief mission, Lions came together, selflessly offering their time, effort, and resources with hearts full of love and hope. Every packed relief item reflected kindness, every helping hand embodied compassion, and every smile spoke of the joy that comes from serving others.
