On this 12th day of January, the Commission on Elections officially declares the elected candidates!

1. Hon. Jea Asibal, Councilor
2. Hon. Jyan Rhodz Andor, Councilor

Stipulated in the Article VII, Section 3 of the SESC Constitution and By-Laws that the elected Councilors shall exercise legislative functions, specifically to:

a. Propose and deliberate on resolutions;
b. Appropriate council funds;
c. Initiate impeachment proceedings;
d. Propose and the creatiin of ad-hoc committees;
e. Draft and propose agreements through resolutions; and
f. Conduct investigation and inquiries in aid of legislation.

These new Elected-At-Large (EAL) are more than ready to serve the students of the Bachelor of Secondary Education, Mindanao State University - General Santos.

Due to the approval of the new 2025 Constitution, which introduced additional committees and restructured the council, the council needs to fill new and vacant positions. This special election is necessary to strengthen representation and ensure that the council can better serve the needs and interests of the student body.
