Calling All Animal Lovers! Let's Make a Difference Together! ❤️🐾

We're dedicated to giving stray and abandoned animals a second chance at a happy life. Every day, we work hard to provide them with food, shelter, comfort, and the care they desperately need.

To keep our furry friends healthy and happy, we rely so much on the kindness of people like you. We're currently in need of some essential items to keep our operations running smoothly and our animals thriving.

Here’s what would truly make a difference for them right now:

- RICE

- DOG Food

- CAT Food

- CANNED Goods

- FRUITS for Bachoychoy (especially for our resident primate friend!)

- VITAMINS

- CLEANING Agents & Materials (to keep their spaces clean and safe)

- TREATS (for training and happy moments!)

- TOWELS (for comfort and cleaning)

- NEW FEEDING BOWLS (as some of ours are already worn out)

Every single donation, no matter how small, helps us provide warmth, nourishment, and a hopeful future for these precious souls.

You can drop off your generous donations at:
PURPAWS PET STATION
NLSA ROAD beside Cebuana Lhuillier, Brgy Lagao, General Santos City

Did you know that caring for our strays is also caring for our community? We are proud to collaborate with the LGU of General Santos City to champion the welfare of our four-legged friends.

We are more than just an NGO; we are partners in building a city where stray animals are treated with dignity and public health is a priority. Together with the LGU, we are working toward sustainable solutions for stray management and responsible pet ownership.

The "Luv Furrever" event at SM City General Santos City, truly touched our hearts, and we at the Rotary E-club of Animal Welfare Advocates were honored to support it. The success of this event was a wonderful demonstration of collaboration, and we want to extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who made it possible!

To the dedicated team and tireless volunteers of PURPAWs, including their lively emcee and every single person who lent a hand, your passion and hard work were truly invaluable. Thank you for giving your time and effort to make such a significant difference in the lives of these animals and their furparents.

We were proud to partner alongside other amazing organizations, including the dedicated animal welfare advocates WAGS PH , Pinetown Veterinary Clinic, the City Veterinary Office, and WAGS Ph. Our collective commitment and resources helped Purpaws provide essential services and find loving homes for so many pets.

And finally, a very special thank you to SM City General Santos City for their trust and belief in this wonderful initiative and for providing such a welcoming space. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful event that allows us to reach a wider community and further our shared mission.

Here are some random photos capturing the spirit of camaraderie and dedication from everyone who volunteered and participated. Every smile, every helping hand, and every wagging tail contributed to a truly unforgettable day!

Happy Birthday to the ultimate animal advocate champion maam Phm Mha! Thank you for your tireless work, your giant heart, and for being the best friend the animal kingdom could ask for. Your dedication to protecting and speaking up for animals is truly inspiring. The world is a much kinder place because of people like you who refuse to look away. I hope today you get back even a fraction of the love and compassion you give to the creatures of this world. I know your 'to-do' list is usually full of rescue missions and advocacy work, but I hope today you put yourself at the top of that list. May your day be filled with your favorite things, no stress, and a whole lot of love from your favorite four-legged companions. You deserve the world!

To the brightest light in our Rotary circle, Nicole Conlu, happy, happy birthday.✨💐🎉

For everyone who’s had the gift of knowing you, “Service Above Self” isn’t just a Rotary motto: it’s the quiet, constant way you live. You’re the one who shows up before anyone asks, who listens longer than anyone else, who turns small, unspoken needs into something tangible , not for praise, but because you see the people the world overlooks, and you love them first.

You’re humble enough to kneel with the voiceless, rooted enough to stay when the work is hard, and kind enough to make even the heaviest days feel a little softer. Your big heart doesn’t just hold love, it gives it away, freely, to every person, every cause, every moment that needs it. You don’t just do service: you are the reason we believe service can change things.

Today, we hope you feel even a fraction of the warmth you’ve given to so many. May your day be full of the same gentle joy you bring to others, and may this year wrap you in all the good you’ve spent your life putting out into the world.

We’re so grateful you’re ours, Nicole. Happy birthday 🥰 the world (and our Rotary family) is better because you’re in it.

🌿 A Story of Compassion That Will Restore Your Faith in Humanity 🌿

Imagine this: It’s early morning at the Eagles Run, where runners are fueled by adrenaline and the crisp dawn air. Among them is Dr. Tom Reyes, a 34-year-old general practitioner whose life’s work revolves around healing diabetic patients hemodialysis physician. But on this day, fate had a different kind of rescue in store for him.

Mid-run, he spots a tiny, trembling kitten darting across the path—lost, scared, and vulnerable. Without hesitation, Dr. Tom springs into action. With the help of a fellow runner, he gently corrals the kitten, then does something that speaks volumes about his heart: he removes his own shirt to swaddle the little furball, shielding it from harm. The kitten, now safe and snug, earns a name steeped in pride and patriotism: Boni, short of Andres Bonifacio—a tribute to the Filipino hero who fought for freedom and compassion.

Enter Kate, a fellow furmom, Rotarian, and animal welfare advocate. When she stumbled upon a photo of this heartwarming rescue, she had to find the kind stranger behind it. Through shared friends and serendipitous tags, she connects with Dr. Tom. Their conversation? Pure magic. Kate arranges for Boni to receive a care package tailored by his new “furdad”—nutritious food, and all the love a rescued kitten deserves.

This is the world we’re fighting for:
✨ Where a doctor’s instinct isn’t just to heal humans, but to cradle life in all its forms.
✨ Where strangers become allies in seconds, united by empathy.
✨ Where a kitten named after a national hero reminds us that courage comes in all sizes.

In a time when chaos often dominates the headlines, stories like Boni and Dr. Tom shine like beacons. They prove that kindness is contagious—and that coexistence isn’t just a dream. It’s a choice we make every day, one small act at a time.

Let’s keep these stories alive. Tag someone who inspires you to see the world through gentler eyes. 🐾💙
