𝗞𝗜𝗧𝗔-𝗞𝗜𝗧𝗔! 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝗢𝗻𝗲

On August 29, 2026, the Rotaract Club of General Santos City - Mindanao State University Chapter proudly participated in the General Santos City Council of Rotaract Clubs’ Council-Wide Basic Orientation Seminar and Leadership Training at Dadiangas North High School, themed “KITA-KITA! Year 3: Navigating Waves, Climbing Peaks, and Serving as One.” The day brought together Rotaractors in an enriching experience of learning, leadership, fellowship, and service. Our club was honored with the Most Delegate Award, while many of our members also came close to securing the Early Bird Registrar recognition—reflecting the enthusiasm and commitment of our Rotaractors to be part of this meaningful gathering.

More than the awards, the Amazing Race became a highlight of the day, bringing the true essence of KITA-KITA to life. Through every challenge, station, and shared laugh, Rotaractors gathered not just as individuals or separate clubs, but as one community navigating the waves and climbing the peaks together. It was a reminder that the journey becomes lighter and the purpose becomes stronger when we choose to move forward as one. With strengthened bonds and renewed purpose, we continue to live out Service Above Self and create lasting impact together.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀, 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿

A new chapter for the Rotaract Club of General Santos City - Mindanao State University Chapter begins with new faces, shared laughter, and a renewed commitment to service.

On August 21, 2026, following the completion of our membership drive, the club held its 1st Special Meeting via Google Meet, bringing together our members for the first time as one growing Rotaract family. What started as a meeting quickly became a space for conversations, laughter, getting to know one another, and sharing ideas for the exciting year ahead.

Among the highlights of the discussion was the preparation for our upcoming Basic Orientation Seminar, which will serve as an important step in welcoming and introducing our new members to the values, purpose, and spirit of Rotaract.

As our membership grows, so does our potential to create meaningful change. With new friendships being formed and new ideas taking shape, we look forward to a Rotary year filled with fellowship, leadership, and purposeful service.

The journey has only begun, and we are excited to see where we can go together.

𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁

A meaningful step toward creating lasting impact begins with empowering those who will help shape the learning journeys of others.

On August 19, 2026, the Project TARA x EducaTOUR 4.0 Capacity Building for Tutors successfully brought together passionate scholar-tutors at the University Library AVR, MSU–Gensan, in preparation for the rollout of localized review centers.

In partnership with the MSU–Gensan Association of DOST-SEI Scholars (MSU–Gensan ADS) and the Supreme Student Council of MSU–Gensan, the Rotaract Club of General Santos City - Mindanao State University Chapter joined this initiative with a shared belief: when we invest in students, we invest in the future.

Through the sessions led by Rowena S. Bongolto, LPT, MAEd, and Norman O. Pangatihan, LPT, the tutors strengthened their skills in effective teaching strategies, classroom and participant management, communication, public speaking, microteaching, practical feedback, and scenario-based problem solving.

For us in Rotaract, this is what Create Lasting Impact means. It is not simply about reaching people today, but about equipping them with knowledge, confidence, and opportunities that they can carry forward and share with others.

This initiative also reflects Rotary’s September Area of Focus: Basic Education and Literacy—a reminder that education can open doors, build confidence, and change the direction of a young person’s life.

Because sometimes, creating lasting impact begins with one tutor, one learner, and one opportunity to learn.

Together, we continue to build a future where students are not only given opportunities to succeed, but are empowered to become opportunities for others.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁

And just like that, the gong has been passed, the officers are inducted, and the new chapter officially begins.

From Unite for Good to Create Lasting Impact, here’s a little look back at the moments, smiles, and memories that made our 29th Induction and Handover Ceremony one to remember.

New team. New goals. Same love for fellowship and service.
